I read your comment before minimizing the window to focus on work, wondering what this mythical drop would be like. 34 minutes later, I was practically comatose writing emails when - GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY it felt like someone had taken a defibrillator to my chest. That was 5 hours ago, and my goosebumps haven't subsided. All that to say that you were damn wise to wait on those whiteclaws.

I did not get to experience this festival, but I love all of the comments of the people who discovered his music during this set and being completely blown away. He was a perfect fit for this festival and a gem amongst the lineup. I love that he won so many people over.

You are all that it was in my head, infinity, irregularity, mentalist teknoist, wonderful, splendid, amazing, magic, the best for me ever, I would take you in a desert island !!! Love with sweet drems...

One of the best sets at Second Sky. Me and all of my friends were geeking out super hard to this set, the vibes were immaculate and it was a magical, deep, and personally euphoric experience. I'm so happy I was there.

@@PattyHeffley As a producer it's really fun to sit down with one of his tracks and try to pick apart how the hell he made it sound so alive and breathing. Really unique stuff.

The song with the massive hit at 34:19 is Singularity (ANNA Remix), starts at 33:08. I was there live for this set, the bass was earth-shattering. Everyone in the festival, even those not in the actual crowd, stopped what they were doing and paid attention. It was absolutely incredible.

OMG! came here after years searching Jon Hopkins on youtube and i saw this set, listened and became goosebumps again! especially the last track!

What a freaking roller coaster ride. I saw this guy at Crssd Spring 23 and I had never heard of him before. One of the most pleasant surprises I've ever experienced.

the textures in Luminous Beings blow my mind every time

Jon Hopkins live is a transcendent experience. Was a privilege to see at MELT '18 glad to see a more recent live set making it to KZread.

I'm so sad I missed this 😭😭😭 couldn't fly in earlier. I'm really glad I can watch/listen here though

Saw him live at CRSSD. Top 5 sets ever, so magical. The visuals were so on point as well, perfect timing during the sunset.

Sounds like filtered pulse wave with some attack and short decay envelope. I'm not 100% sure.

I'd guess pulsewave with width modulation, low pass filter and modulated AD envelopes, a delay and reverb. There is also some shimmer fx going on. But honestly.. everytime i try to recreate tjing he does i just realize that there is always some magic ingredient missing. Hes a musical genius and im not 😅
