It is so wonderful that a Sami could win this competition as their culture and language was almost forced into extinction.... well done to the Swedish people to show gracefulness and allow this exceptional young man and his beautiful song to be acknowledge as true winner :)

+Nilsa Eberhart Well Joiks are normally wordless, usually containing various sound (almost like chants), however, sometimes they can contain very few words, but the language(s) that Joiks (Joik is just one name it ref are traditionally sang in is Sámi languages which consists of about 10 different dialects. the most common being Northern Sámi. The term Joik is referring to Southern Sámi language which has around 500 speakers, and luohti is the same thing but in Northern Sámi which has around 10,000 speakers.) are Sámi languages and they are what you would call "nature based" languages, meaning that they have an abnormally extensive amount of words that describe instances or things in nature. In Northern Sámi there are 300 different words that describe snow and ice, and 60 words to describe mountains. So that is why is sounds like "The voice of the rivers, the forests, the jungle, the mountains...the roots from Mother Earth..." Guessing by your name, you are most likely from Norway, Sweden or Finland, so you might already know this information, so I apologize if it is simply "review".

There are no words. Joik is the language of the heart, so what you are listening to is the most purest music you can ever hear. And while writing, I just realized, that this is exactly what music is all about. Music is the language of feelings, and a Joik arise through feelings. :)

Are you still with me, my dear friend, Though I no longer see you? Are you still here on earth, As you are in my heart? I lie here and ponder, It's desolately quiet around me. Tears break out and fall, With the thought of you. An angel that was forgotten here, Have now got his wings. Where do you fly now, my angel? Where do you fly now? Are you flying through the pearly gates? Or the end of the world? Are you flying next to me? Or am I all alone now? Wherever you are now, my friend. Wherever the road leads you. Promise me you'll wait there, Until I meet you. I hope you're happy now. As I was with you. And the pain you've suffered, I hope it's forgotten. Fly freely, my dear friend. You are free now. And until we meet again, Farewell, my angel.

Well it was played in swedish radio stations but the Swedish state still continued to exploit the Sámi land, continued to ignore basic rights for the Sámi people and the suicid percentage among reindeer herders is still very high so it didn't help with the conflict within Sweden. But it's still very important that indigenous people such as the Sámi get media attention and more platforms.
Touched and moved. Respect from Malaysia
I had no idea what this was about or what he was saying, but it was beautiful and moved me to tears. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

most beautiful voice i've ever heard. God is amazing sending people like Jon Henrik
Jon Henrik Fjaellgren's singing reminds me of an incident I experienced about 20 years ago in Milwaukee at the North American Festival of Wales. Singer, song-writer, activist Dafydd Iwan was to sing at a local pub until midnight; he sang until 2AM. An African American security guard came up to him and said, "I couldn't understand the words but I understood the soul". Says it all
I did not understand any word but I'm glad he won.

Respect from America!!
I cannot get enough of his songs and i hope his cd is out for sale soon
This guy is amazing; just discovered him, and watched a video about his "Daniel's jolk" song, and instantly looked him up on every music program I have an account on... Another very special thing is that I didn't start to tap on my desk in the rythm of his songs. I'm an introvert autist and I just can't stop it/control it. The only times I don't do this, is if the song is bad, or if I'm too stunned to do anything... of course in this case it's the last reason. (That probably sounded stupid as hell, but I hope some people know how this feels and works) I now know what an actual good song is, and I know what basically every radio is missing: songs that weren't written for the money, but just because of a person, and from the maker's hart. Please keep doing what you're doing and show everyone what you've showed every Sweden's got talent-viewer. Greetings from Belgium -,Trump's beautiful city-

Originally, music is like this. Words are also important, but John is emitting sounds from the bottom of the soul. Therefore, I think that we can understand without words. It is how to stop listening, but when I think of his heart I tears. I would like to pray for him and his family, for those around him, and for everyone who could hear this happiness.
