Спорт

In todays video i walk through some simple upgrades to my tracker jon boat, including the construction of a front casting deck and storage compartment. If you are into DIY jon boat ideas, this may be helpful to you.
Check out some of the how-to and repair content on the playlist, and stay timed for spring 2021 jon boat 2.0 revisions as i completely remove these upgrades for a more complete and well designed set up!

Looking good. In the future look into a rivet nut tool, it makes life a whole lot easier. I used it for my seat and floor.

For the seat mount in mine I used one of the post mounts that needs a hole drilled in the center, then used that to get the self locking nuts underneath, put super glue on them and grabbed them with the bolt from the top to pull them up and glue them one at a time to the underside. Then once the glue was set just put the post mount on and put the bolts into their slots.

Thats a good idea!! I eventually removed my seat and covered the bench in seadek, which looked clean and worked alright. No back support, but thats ok

Looking good my friend. Several suggestions I might offer that could help over time. 1. You may want to consider moving the fire extinguisher to a different location. Being right beside the motor that has a built in gas tank, most fires start with the motor and spread immediately to the gas tank, you want to be able to get to it without endangering yourself and before the boat is destroyed. 2. On the front panel of your casting deck, reverse those bolt so the head is to the exterior and then ends of the bolt are inside where they will not snag a line, net, pants etc while fishing or moving about the boat. 3. Make sure you keep those swivel seat bearings lubricated, being exposed to water constantly, they will rust and that modification will lock up tight on you. Keep up the good work and post videos as you continue to upgrade. Peace.

Looks good... might wanna add a corner molding onto that casting deck to prevent the wood from being splintered and would give it a cool look. Gonna try to build one as well soon. Thanks for the vid man. Nice job!!!

If you take the nuts off one end of the threaded rod on the clamp mount seat and slide it through and put on the washer and nut again you can get the width (18") you need. Then just pass a ratchet strap under the seat and secure it down onto the clamps that come over the edge of the seat. I am 260lbs. and it holds me fine.

Nice! I've got the Tracker Topper 1542 and I hate how wide the seats are. They're just unnecessarily wide, but there is a removable seat clamp system that fits. I've had my boat for 4yrs but I know I either picked the seat clamp up at Academy or Bass Pro Shop. So where can I find that foam on the deck? I'm wanting to cut out the middle seat and plug the live well (since mine has always leaked). Then I'm going to install a floor down the middle and lengthen my casting deck so it's big enough that I can put a seat on it. I want to get some foam for the floor but really don't want to pay that Sea Dek price.

I was in a hurry, and didnt want to wait for online shipping so i made a trip to my local west marine store. Its a great hatch but it was over $100. Sometimes scrubbing off dirty footprints takes some real elbow grease, which is the only downside ive noticed

All I did was attach the seat to the swivel bast with the screws supplied. Then rivet the swivel base to an aluminum plate from the underside. The rivet the plate to the seat. That way your not sitting so high.
