Awesome setup man! Fix'n to do something similar to a tracker 1542. 36v 101 in the back and 12v 45 in the front. Perfect for the sloughs and small lakes in the Swamps of South Mississippi. Stupid Daikini I love it , it’s been a great boat over the past year .

I have almost the same boat I have the 1448 same front and rear deck. Smaller in center I went with mercury 25hp I get 27 mph . May lose some speed just added a x5 75 lb trolling motor 24 volt system. Really great video I like your Extended deck alot !

Nice job, gave me some good ideas. I do want to know what gauge diamond plate did you use for both the flooring and the angled side braces and where did you buy it? It looks pretty thick and expensive- that would make those decks more than the $200-300 range you stated. Your front battery is not tied into any switched electrical circuit or an on-board charger is that right?

How easy is it to run wiring from back to front? Looks like the whole thing is pretty solid with not access except the bow

i fish alot of electric only lakes, i am looking into a torqeedo or RAY of some sort.

great video, I have a 14 foot Grizz, I fish the lower Susquehanna. I like your mods. I like the idea of the ATV ramps...I am assuming the ramps were lighter than using wood?

Yeah I think they are , mainly since they have gaps but are still strong . It’s a good DIY thing . It’s not professional by any means , but I’ve had it for a year now and haven’t had any issues

I know I’m late to the party, for seats, look into millennium marine. Very comfortable. Made with a mesh material, dry out quick when wet.

I think trailer was 1300-1600 I can’t remember exactly . Total was like 5500 out the door .. the trailer sucks tho . Had to replace the wench and the trim wheel

@ 3:55 - so, when you are out on the water, all you have to do is get out of your boat and stand in the water and, with only one hand, lift the trolling motor out of the water. it's that easy!

Love the boat. I'm looking to get same boat maybe next year. And do a lot of you and your dads mods. Thanks for the ideas.

I've had mine for 4 years. It is an excellent boat. I bought mine with a 30 hp merc. Hasn't have me trouble yet.

raul guzman hey , we used bolts . If you can weld I recommend that . But we did the bolts and it holds just fine

for the most part yes, but the waters i fish in MD are electric only. I didnt really feel like buying a full electric outboard. Not yet atleast. But between the 2 motors i get about 5 mph, so its not horrible

where did you get those foldable cup holders that attach to the tracks on side of boat!!!??? I have been looking for a cup holder for my passenger.

Bad ass set up. If you choose to upgrade your stern motor, you can build a motor using a golf cart motor attached to an old gas motor, its pretty simple and not very expensive. What batteries are you running? Guessing 4 6v wired in series? Or 2 12v that you can swap?

@@bassmoore2083 I grew up fishing Liberty and loch Raven. We had a 36v golf cart set up my dad built. Using an old 8 hp mercury motor with a golf cart motor attached to the shaft using a love joy coupling. Also, for battery set up, look into running 6v golf cart batteries, you will get a lot more run time.

@@bassmoore2083 there's a few companies that make bad ass electric motors, torqeedo is one but you're gonna pay and there's also a company called ray marine I believe, he builds the aforementioned golf cart motors, but you could definitely build one for less then 1k

@@bassmoore2083 keep an eye on FB marketplace, my friend found a torqeedo 4.0 with 2 year old batteries for like 2700. I miss fishing in MD so bad. I'm stationed in MI now, haven't been home in like 10 years man. GL with the build, tight lines my man

Could i run this on just one 80lb kota running 4 batteries. All the lakes i fish are pretty small.

donald hussey yes sir ! At times I’ll just use 1 motor (the back motor) to move around a lake , and I’ll get 3 mph give or take a little more depending wind and current . Never much under 3 mph . With 4 batteries you could def last all day long . The boat moves pretty easy .

Aluminum tubing or angle and a riveter also works, but that requires a lot more work

The only issues I’ve had in 3 years , was the winch on the trailer is a piece of crap so I replaced it .. and the seat post holes aren’t really true to size so there’s a small wiggle in the seats . But that’s been it .

johnnymohani I’ve never been in a topper. I’ve only see others .. I will say I “think” this would be more stable since it’s wider . Yes it’s heavier . So doesn’t blow around in the wind as much but will be a tad slower . . But will hold more weight too if you need more battery’s .. all weld will last longer too . But the width is my favorite thing . Much more sturdy with 2 people standing ontop

I'm a vegan and hated fishing. It is fish murder, but after seeing your video, I am eating and hunting fish daily and am now going to go cow hunting. Can you use the same hooks for cows? love this boat....

I have a Lund 1465 that I want to work on this summer its just going to require more to do it will be my 1st time. I've been watching M lopez videos and contacting him for feedback he's sick with it so when the summer rolls back around Im going to give it a shot he nice boatI couldn't afford one of those so I just bought the lund for 600 from this guy near by happy fishing.

Its a purchase ad on yes, I think it was like 1100 for the trailer.. the trailer is crap honestly. If you can find one better, i would suggest that. But if its all you can get, it will hold up with some maitenance

@@derekskinner2555 so i can tell u, i bought the boat, then the trailer. i think it was like 5500 total . not 100% exact there. by the time I bought both motors i was near 7k , depth finder was another 500. so we are looking at around 8-9k total . its a nice boat. I would recommend it. If its something you are looking into keeping for a while, and something you would consder making a deck in, I would look into a 17-18 ft aluminum bass boat. Already pre rigged wiht the motors n stuff. I sometimes wish i went that route, but ive made this work for what I am doing.

miltnxc123 4 is not so bad . Runs pretty Well. The ideal set up would be to have 8 6v golf cart batteries for double the run time
