I was living in Ventura, was raised in oak view,George was president David Ortega was a friend and artist. He was w/club and living at that time in that place George was always a huge influence on life. Officer Cubitt was a ventura policeman that was fair and just, he was my arresting officer the first time I was busted. I was blessed growing up in oak view and ventura at a time when that club was the last word on the streets. Some other clubs were there but the most influential was George's club. His time,was a very good time to be on the sidelines. I was not law abiding and was raised by fair parents. The thing I want to say is Thank You for the great memories of life as the influence from de Anza to Mar Vista George was known as king. Life goes by so fast, and yesterday was fantastic. So the decisions today will determine your tomorrow. Great interview great subject and life is the ride,so ride safe and ride hard.

Awesome guys, so very humble and for me an old member from Sweden it was a great honour to meet them . They are both legends. And when he decided to step down, they banned him from any and all contact with them...because Sonny was a petty person. So much for the Brotherhood Culture. The culture and history is interesting. 81, while iconic, is still an Outlaw MC, and is more a corporation now than anything. They are a criminal enterprise that has reach on every continent. They still run protection for the cartels. What a great video. There is something about old Marines that is very similiar. My dad passed away last summer. He was 93 years old and was in the Marines in the 1940's. He and George are very similar in how they talk and tell stories! Absolutely fascinating and love it!! Thank you!

great pod. I really wish more full podcasts would get posted cus you as a person, you're incredible. You also coordinate situations, topics and sensitive conversations very strategically which is refreshing as most people just dig for drama or extra click bait when talking with high profile people and you are not like that at all. you just want the history and to pick their brains which I love. I would particularly love to see the full pod with you and Norman. I know George a little. For starters, he's a Marine. Secondly, hes one of the most down to Earth guys I know. Third, he's a super nice guy. Much love George!! Semper Fi brother!!!

I really enjoyed this. I could listen to Mr Christie tell stories all day. They don't make them like him anymore.

I recall from a very young age that as soon as I realized I was a kid the level of excitement I felt the first day of summer vacation and just how intoxicating it was to be free to watch cartoons and be your own boss, teacher or decision maker to do what you desire. I had friends that always had the best and latest BMX bikes. I had to go beyond begging and convincing my dad to buy me a Grand Auto. It was the color of rust and weighed 8 times the weight of any of my peers BMX's. The first time my friend Ronnie rolled up on his Honda 50, it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. The first time I Rode it, I was hooked. A day later all I could think of was how I was going to get one. My favorite cartoon had just ended, so I started changing the channel. The image of motorcycles showed up on my screen and I was blown away. I quickly realized, the only thing cooler than motorcycles was the MC Gang. As, I became older, I took the first opportunity to buy my own CR 250. That was the happiest time of my life. I was preprogrammed to respect everyone and It went a long way. I recall being so misinformed on what I knew was the Coolest, bad 2 the bone MC's. One day it just so happened, I ended up at the same location, as a small number of Angels. I was thinking that I should leave because according to what others thought and what stories I heard, It would be the wisest move, I could make. As we acknowledged each other, I greeted them with respect and was making my exit. Another Angel rode up and I was somehow gravitating to his bike. I froze or paused as if I had set eyes on a hidden treasure, it had to be the most unnatural response anyone on a Harley had ever witnessed. It must have appeared strange as my mouth opened and stayed open for an abnormal amount of time. I was at a loss, and they all knew it. I had froze in the space in which I stood in. I had to retrain myself on how to speak again. I Probably gave them the impression that I was hallucinating. A short and awkward gruntish slur slipped out right before my brain could sync up with my mouth. Strainfully I tried to pull my eyes away. I made eye contact just in time to convince them I was not having a stroke. "That's Fugcking beautiful!" I blurted out. I asked him, "Is that a 77 or 78" He said he was told it was a 78 with some newer 79 parts on it. So later on that week his registration arrived indicating 1977. Next thing I realized, the day changed to early night. As we simultaneously noticed what happened. As I started to question the time, of early evening, I had noticed that for a second, we started talking at the same time and stopped at the same time. It seemed like we read each others mind because instead excusing each other for talking over each other, we both laughed it off instead. To make matters better we both looked each other dead in the others eyes and our hands locked with a Bonding handshake. Any other time that had happened as delayed as our introduction was,. I or other person would politely mention how they should of, or why they did not introduce themselves sooner. Somehow, we both had the feeling, it was mutually expressed or preconceived. That was the first and last time anything like that took place. To this day, I am not sure how that happened. All I know is, my experience seemed equally appreciated and enjoyable. I did not ever see them again but imagine that if I do, I will be able to remember most of what we talked about.

Im from the hood. I grew up in harlem. Its hard to find a cop respected in the streets and by the cops. I saw that one time. He didn't bother the hustlers if they weren't outside when school started and school ended. And no shooting. As long as that was stuck to, he didn't bother you. Go against those rules, and he was locking you up immediately.

much respect to Mr. Christie, he lived life on his own terms and that's what it's all about. When he said "we were becoming what we were rebelling against" I had to stop and think for a minute. I realized how right he was. You lose your freedom when you live by rules, you are no longer the 1%

I am a year and a half into being a biker. Not in a club but just an average every day biker and knew nothing about the club scene prior to this. I find the life style fascinating to learn about. I have no desire to join a club but I respect the folks who are members. I wish they’d stop killing each other though……..

Awesome podcast 🔥 I’ll tell you something, I was introduced to John when I began watching Walking Dead. I found his acting/performance amazing and i was immediately drawn to his character. The moment he was no longer on the show is when I stopped watching Walking Dead lol I’ve been a fan of John ever since. When I found out he had a podcast was one of the best findings on youtube. Awesome content brother! Its doesn’t get realer than these 👍🏻

I met him at a party and we talked for like an hour, he was the man. I never once mentioned I knew who he was and he seemed to respect that.

I used to live in Ventura when George was The HA Pres. One night I was standing outside in front of the Oddfellows hall when he was walking by. He stopped and said to me “They’re 2 steps behind me. Thats what they tell me anyway.” I knew he was talking about the Feds, but I was a bit nervous talking to him. I wanted to tell him that the only thing that would catch up to him was old age. But, “old age” was the only thing I managed to blurt out. He just looked at me, and walked away. Total coolness.

Hey listen man. You probably wont even see this, but ive watched your podcast with Shia quite a few times now. And every time I watch it I get something out of it that I didnt get the last time. Ive had a lot of what people would call "obstacles" thrown my way in life. I did a lot of blaming other people. My parents. My friends. And very recently ive come to the realization that I am the only person responsible for my position in life. And if I want something to change I have to get off my ass and change it. I just wanna say man youre very real. No BS. And you have a lot to offer young men specifically in the world right now that are struggling. Struggling with almost anything, because a lot of the principles you choose to apply to your life can apply to almost anything and anyone. And I commend you for your bravery. It takes courage to speak the truth. Not only factual truth, but personal truth. YOUR truth. How you feel, how life has broken and reshaped you, and what youve been able to take away from it. And to be as honest as you are about it is refreshing. So thank you man. Thank you.

I am a new subscriber and this was an incredible sit down with Mr George Christie for President of the HA, the candor and open and honest conversation was really entertaining I could have listened to you two discussing every facet of his career and all the ups and downs of what that life entails! There are so many similarities in the rules, structure and hierarchy that are very similar to Italian organized crime here in NYC, one of the major differences is the obvious patch insignia and rockers that is part of the HA structure and what it takes to earn it, wiseguys try to keep a low profile for the most part but John Gotti kind of threw that protocol out the window, after all he was The Godfather of the Gambino Family and of all NYC. Keep up the great work in your podcast and your acting, all the best God Bless!

Having spent time with and doing research on Outlaw MC's...one thing is constant...they all have petty, toxic people running the show. There are some things that George is saying that are contradictory to what other former members have said. That includes the reason he was put out bad.

I meet him during the Olympics in Los Angeles. I knew other members at the time an HA is great club

I love what George said. “You can’t change who you are.” You have to stay true to yourself and your beliefs. The main reason I left a certain MC

Lots of wisdom earned the hard way in this mans words. Clearly a sharp guy, but that world is something different. I've never regretted not joining up or even riding in big groups lol, but that's sport bike guys.

I love this show, Mostly I admire and respect George Christie more then anything. I was listening to both of you. I admire you as well. He is so wise. I have watched The Outlaw Chronicles over and over I have read his books. To me he is the real deal. Like him I have also buried my oldest son at the age of 26 for a different reason. Sooo Grateful I came across this Today.. Excellent interview, and Dam, George C is an Amazing Guy.. I had no idea who he was/what he was all about. Now i have to go out and order his books and añy info i can get on him. Im Little younger than George, i pray im in half as good a shape as he is IF i ever hit his age.. Hes Definitely doing something Right if hes stepped down, and living a good life. I Applaud your decisions you've made in your life, you must need a frickin wheelbarrow to cart around those Steel Balls you have.. Imagine you riding up to another clubs doors, with a Dozen enemy already standing around outside and you pull right up demanding to talk to their Prez.. I would think their level of Respect for you George Skyrocketed !! I know it did to my Respect towards you and I'm just reading about it.. lol. You nut ! But you are right, You got to have Big Balls to stay in the Fight and sometimes Bigger Balls to Delegate and Not Fight. I Applaud Taco for asking you about help from your daughter, thats Huge Respect right there. I hope she was able to help him. Also dealing George dealing with his once Daughter and her/his change of life. IF we aren't like that, WE cant Fully understand what they are Really Going through..
