    Hi thank you for making this dish, there is a variety of ways to make jollof but we generally don't use cumin in jollof(it's not used in west african cuisine). And we always use bouillon.

    As a Nigerian once I saw u add the bay leaves I knew this was legit. Ur an official Nigerian now😂 Edit: next time use parboiled rice it’s superior(no butter too)

    No butter?? You don't know ball. Butter definitely makes it better. And parboiled rice isn't necessary, it's optional.

    @@raysizzler I’m talking about traditional Nigerian jollof rice. Africans don’t cook with a lot butter(that’s more American) and Nigerians use long grain rice not basmati

    Nigerians do use butter(margarine actually). That's very important when you make party rice. I make without butter for regular cooking, but add for large gatherings

    @@miriamheartup north Nigerians certainly use Ghee (man shanu) which is clarified butter as a finishing to add flavor

    I keep hearing about Jollof rice but I've never had it and unfortunately there are no West African restaurants in my area (only Ethiopian). So I must try this recipe! However, I think I will add chicken. It looks delicious.

    I’m a Ghanaian and I must say that is one heck of a jollof, just like mama makes it without the butter of course, and you need some fried/grilled chicken to go with that. Lastly you need a very chilled Fanta. Thanks me later
