Joker's Sick Scheme
Комедия
When Joker's latest scheme threatens the very existance of the free market Batman adores so much, Batman knows he has no choice but to beat Joker to the point of death and then throw him in Arkham in the vague hope it'll hold him for a few weeks. Maybe it'll even be long enough for him to have a couple of adventures with some supervillains who aren't a literal clown.
If you like the work I do, why not fold your dollars into batarangs to hurl at me?: / membership

The irony of superhero comics is that they cannot have things like therapy or rehabilitation actually work as it would mean no more supervillains. Batman is differentiating between anarchocapitalism (Murray Rothbart's brand of "anarchism", not actually anarchism, although both oppose the state for different reasons) and anarchy. So the ancap idea is that without government collecting taxes, everyone would be rich. Because money grows on trees, apparently. This in contrast to Adam Smith, who argued that a strong state is needed to keep the market free (of monopolies and other rent-seekers). Mussolini and Gentile then argued that the state should not interfere in the market at all except to enforce business contracts (and create demand for weapons). Reagan later argued that private monopolies are good, actually, because they are "efficient". (This in contrast to Hayek, who thought all monopolies, including state monopolies, were a bad thing.) So Batman is against anarchy (defined by Polybios as a state of people communally making good political decisions, although in modern times the monarchists used it synonymously with "democracy" to mean an absence of government, which would be club law, not anarchy or democracy), but not against anarchocapitalism (a market free from government). Technically, his position is "minarchist". To answer your question simply: No.
Ok let's put sone economies into perspective- people need to do their jobs. Having an unemployed charity or unemployed fund just means that inflation will go up drastically. Because there will be more money but no growth in goods to consume. The govt cannot make more loans or allow additional money to flow in without any production. That's really bad for the economy.
@davidwuhrer6704
13 күн бұрын
That's amazing! Everything you just said is wrong! For starters, _how_ are _unemployed_ people supposed to do their _jobs?_ The work houses of the 19th century have shown conclusively that people won't be employed if they are too old, too sick, or too poor to do any work, and putting them in work houses didn't magically cure them, rejuvenate them, or make them competent at any trade they didn't have the resources to learn. Already in the 18th century Adam Smith said that education was a cornerstone to worker productivity. Much like how the solution to homelessness is to provide people with homes, the solution to poverty is to give people money. The economy relies on consumers spending money, and without money there are no consumers, and without consumers there is no economy. And then how is anyone supposed to make any living? Now, if the government issues more money into existence than people can spend, people will save up that money. The government can then tax it out of existence again to prevent a critical pile up where someone could just use their savings to corner any market and jack up prices. Notably, more money in circulation does not in itself cause inflation (every war time a government tried to ruin the enemy economy by infusing forged money, it didn't work), businesses raising prices does. Which, to be fair, they could (and probably should) do if people have more money than they need, but when has that ever been the case. Alternatively, they could also offer more goods and services to buy. Instead, inflation is typically caused by interest: To pay back the interest on debt, more money is needed, which has to come from somewhere. And of course by investors never letting a crisis go to waste. Back to jobs: If the economy is doing well, more jobs can be created, and more people can be employed (if they are not too old, too sick, too pre-majority age, too parents, too in training or education, or simply too stupid). Which causes the economy to do well, and so on. But when markets are satiated, less productivity is needed, fewer workers are needed, which means fewer people are employed, fewer people have money, fewer people buy things, less productivity is needed, and so on. Now what? (And it is not a given that more jobs _will_ be created when the economy is doing well. The surplus value can be spent on shareholder dividends, stock buy-backs, marketing, regulatory capture, and hostile takeovers instead.) That's why Paul LaFargue… eh, that would be going too far on a tangent. Point is, people _can't_ do their jobs if the government doesn't pay for them directly or indirectly. Which includes the time _between_ jobs (and before jobs and after jobs).
Ok, imagine this . [Fandom conspiracy ] What if the Joker tattooed " O.K. " on his forehead but Batman flooded the room with knock out sleepy gas ? Batman ends up borrowing the tattoo needle threader from the passed out artist and carved " BROKEN " on top of the Joker's tattoo. Joker wakes up with " BROKEN " stabbed into his forehead from a botched tattoo . The Joker and his girlfriend are asked to explain a " Suicide Squad " cult manifesto run by a crazy black person who slaps innocent Jokers in front of Hollywood cameras . The script is written in poop that seems to have Bruce Wayne's DNA in it. We know this because one of his butt hairs was sticking to the script. It is strange because the Joker did not agree to have his computer generated likeness into a film about a religious prison rehab . All profits went to Wayne Enterprises .

You see Batman, to a guy like me, trickle down economics just looks like successful capitalism at work.. or something idk I probably meant to switch those around
