Yes. They also used it in the MTV series "Scream". In that show, the dumb quack of a therapist, referred to it as, "The Madness of Two". She was dead wrong of course. But I'm thinking that THIS FILM, is going to be the legit example.

You mentioned "It's just Lady Gaga's voice." Yes, that was on porpuse. If you've seen Houce of Gucci and AHS, she's amazing at switching up her voice, but for this role Harley is going to be more grounded which will work well.

This might be the first version of Harley I'm hearing without a Brooklyn accent. In the Harley Quinn animated series, her accent is milder, but still there. But if ever we were going to get a version without an accent, it would definitely be in a Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie.

They had a good romance in the Lego games, the Batman 2004, and the Arkham games as well. I really wish they’d have a nicer romance tho. The whole one sided love thing is getting old

The first Joker film was set in 1981 and the second one is two years later after the events of the first film, Bruce Wayne was around 10/11 in the first one and he will be 12/13 in the second film. If they do a third film they can do a bigger time jump and where it focuses on Bruce and when he becomes Batman.

Instead of her being a therapist that became infatuated with him, it looks like there having her be another mental patient who was attracted to joker and what he did. I don't know how feel about it yet, I gotta see it. The first one is my favorite movie so I gotta see how this turns out. Still don't know about Lady gaga as harley and there story being different.

here's my take. that scene with the lipstick is their first encounter. I think it starts with her being a renowned criminal psychologist (she's crazy too so it helps her understand them)who finds him interesting. a pet project. something broken she can fix. she's so successful she somehow gets permission to go "undercover" into Arkham and study him. And in the process falls in love with him. Eventually going to court and winning his freedom. (or its possibly all in their heads) but that's my take on it.

I think you should go into it without thinking it’s a classic like normal musical. Because if you do you’re gonna ruin it for yourself . Just try to think of it as a movie that has musical elements to help drive the plot into a more poetic and deep way so you don’t ruin it
