Rodney Mills also because her first label pulled down all of her music - you can’t buy digital copies or hard copies of the original albums. So, re-recording them gives her ownership of (the versions of) her songs - which allows her to perform them and make money off of them commercially and also lets them be heard instead of being locked up in some dark label vault. These versions are good but I wish we still had access to the original versions

Hi Dave. Yeah I'll admit the deed. I'm 1 of those. lol. But I forgive it not sounding like the origenal. I only dog on it meh kinda half heartedly because I'm a nit picky recording geek. However after listening to it with headphones some of my issues it seems are only present in some places. Meh it's just stereo panning chorus stuff and JOJo being stereo or in this case she isn't in places where she should be stereo. But what evs. After all that happened to the poor girl we should be glad she's back. You wana know the real sad thing though? It's not studio criticisms comeing for the most part. Na it's she didn't wooo like in the origenal. How pathetic. How lame. Really? That's what you all people gonna harp on? After all she was put threw these folks gonna harp on a stupid woooo? Okay she didn't woooo. I think she could've though but what evs. How about being thankfull she's still breathing. Yes sir her story goes that bad. And people doging on a stupid little woo. You're right though Dave. For what it is and for what they had to work with it's awesome. That's the other thing with the 1s that dog on it. I guess they missed the memo. JoJo herself said they didn't have nothing but the youtube vid to work from. So how do people expect the origenal file? She didn't have the stems. Oh and that goes for the wooo croud too. I don't know how they worked on this but maybe they just missed the woo. But in the end who cares. What's it take away from the song? Sure it's kinda oquard not being there if you know it should be and it triggers your OCD but there's a more importand bigger picture that matters more. These people can't be true JoJo fans. Sorry if they clame that they are. Because if they are again of more import should be the fact JoJo is still even here. She did what she could with what she had so her fans could enjoy the tunes. But yeah it's great like you said. Just fixing the few panning issues or you know what doing 1 better and making it Dolby Atmos 9.4.6 and bam pure epicness.

It's even more cool if it was done in HD. LPCM 48 KHZ 24 bits for instance. Like Tailor Swift's Album that has the song Blank Space on it. This just so as you know is the sample rate and bit depth of your typical 7.1 Blu-Ray disk. Remember this was re-done completely from scratch. She also re-did Leave Get Out. The quality especially on that 1 is totally better than the origenal. It's totally more night and Day when you compair the 2 versions of that 1. But yeah this here version is awesome Meh it's just people's OCD being triggered like I said the other day. But like I also said I doubt those are the true hard core have every single JoJo CD have posters of her and that kinda stuff fans. Cause I'd figure those kinda fans would care more about her as a person than a silly woo sound. lol.

René Christensen I am a singer but I think it’s a matter of if your voice drops lower as you age or if you strain your voice as well, I know Kristin Chenowith is maybe in her 50’s now and she’s still able to hit the hose high notes just like she used to but I think it’s because she keeps up with her vocal training. If you don’t train your voice to sustain that then I think you can lose the ability to hit those high notes but then again some people are just gifted and still able to hit those high notes even after not singing for a long time. Hope this helps!

I think these re-recorded versions deserve as much spotlight as did the original ones. Her previous record label did her wrong, and not to mention, was never streamed online knowing how big these hits were. So I think it’s fair we give her the recognition for these ones! Ace Jo I don’t remember her ever being a soprano though. She was always a Mezzo-soprano. She’s definitely matured though. She might not be able to reach those super high notes that she used to. But she definitely has more range now more than she ever has. She can still go super high to the point where people think she is a soprano. She just has really good technique.

Really? What's wrong with those people? They dislike just cause of a meaningless little woo sound? I too noted it but meh come on dude she was only 16 than. Of course this new one was gona be different. Now just so as you know I am a geek when it comes to recording panning and what not so i did make a few notes. Some of the stereo image is wrong. Some things that werer panned 100% left and right aren't no more. Or they just forgot to pan some stuff Who knows. But I put these geeky notes aside. There are more importent things to this story than woo being gone or even my wide stereo panning nitpicks. Besides they didn't have the origenal stems to refrence. They just had the youtube vids. Or perhaps someone got a coppy of the CD. But what ever. JoJo is back and that's all that matters for now after all that happened to her.

I didn’t dislike, but I’m not a fan of this version as much. From a production standpoint it just doesn’t resonate as well. It’s too tinny. It just sounds off. It was perfected with the original, that’s why it was so monstrously popular at the time. But I’m glad she’s made her own version and has more control over her career now. :)

JoJo isn't in stereo where she should be and she's stereo when she wasn't in the other 1. But what ever. If I had produced it I'd do it in 9.2.6 Dolby Atmos. I'd do the vocals like they did for the music for the passion of the Christ. Where what would happen is in the center channal it would be just raw JoJo. No process no nothing. The processed and over practised studio pollished kinda stuff and back up vocals go into the fronts and sides and rears. Since I like Atmos we'd have to figure out what to do with the 6 hight speakers. But yes. Also I hope I explained what I would've done well enough. Because I know some people can't stomach the Passion. Especially the scorging with the flagrem. Because the music there totally does what I'm talking about. Well the crusifiction music does kind of too. But again to hear what I'm talking about you have to be able to handle the movie. Because the CD stereo mix 1 obviously is stereo and 2 it looses somethings even at that.

Yall do know she was a kid when she originally performed this song with NO REFERENCE . NOW THAT SHE IS MATURE< WISE ; she can add all that nuance which is perfection
