Already subscribed because I believe your message to get off chemical fertilizers and to get away from modern farming practices! God gave me contaminated compost/soil mix in 2021. It was the best gift that year because He knew that I would get to the bottom to heal my soil. I ended up learning all about regenerative agriculture (even though I have a modest side yard garden) from John Kempf and Klaas Martens. Now I'm excited to be a lunatic fringe and watch the movement grow!

Preach it, Joel! Now, those of us who are new to farming have to figure out HOW to do that. I'm just struggling with how to make our hay grow better without using traditional fertilizer and herbicides... You keep making inspirational (and educational) videos and we'll keep watching!

Because of watching videos over the last few years featuring Joel Salatin, I’ve made a recent commitment to cook more. This morning I converted a Betty Crocker recipe for custard into a keto breakfast. It was too sweet for my taste. But, at least my hubby liked it and gave it a thumbs up. Thank you Joel, for motivating me to get back into the kitchen. I love the simple straightforward facts that you present without judgment and opinion. I also love your word-smithory.

Just remember sugar is not keto. I mean if your doing it to get healthy you've got to be really serious. I messed up and got into some honey yesterday. It happens.

@@nevinkuser9892 I didn’t use sugar. (Xylitol & erythritol) But, it was still too sweet. I tend toward less sweet flavors anyway so I guess that gives me permission to use less than a one-to-one substitution rate.

@@LadyPeter Those sugar substitutes generally are pretty sweet. The only one I ended up liking was actual stevia leaves.

@@nevinkuser9892 I don’t know what it is about stevia that I just cannot handle it. It leaves the worst aftertaste without baking but then it gets even worse when it is baked. It is like rubbing finger nails down a chalk board inside my mouth and ears. Yuck.

@@LadyPeter It's nasty but it's the healthiest form of still having "sugar" that there is.
