OMGOSH! You are such the professional! The music you add to the quiet parts of the video is beautiful! AND, even more importantly-NOT LOUD! I love that I don’t have to reach for the remote to turn the screaming music down! With your amazing videos, I can simply keep crocheting, it’s just such a chill vibe. Love you, sweet plant friend. ❤

Hi Fern. Your stag horn/elk horn can stay on the cork for as long as there is still room for more new shields to grow on. It can actually wrap right around the mount if you’d like to let it go that way. Otherwise, when it reaches the edges you can take it off the cork and put it on anything (preferably wood) larger than the previous mount. Good luck. Keep us updated.
Very productive plant care in this video, all these plants look great!👍 💚🌱🌵☘️💚
10.10 In love with your Philodendron Jungle Boogie, Tiger Tooth, Narrow! 🥰
I have been loving the longer videos you’ve been posting as of late, Fern! Your Philodendron serpens is so pretty. The air-layering is very cool. I love learning about all these different propagation techniques.
I absolutely love your hair like this.

@@wildfern I'm sure everyone is loving it just like me . Thank you :)
Ive been waiting for a time to watch this video. Little Phoebe girl is cuddled up with me on this darn right cold spring day. I totally enjoyed the relaxing video. Thanks.
There are these cool bowls at dollar tree right now that have these little like almost spouts on them that are really handy for sink watering. You can place the bowl in the sink, place the plant over the bowl, collect the runoff fertilizer water into the bowl, and then easily pour the water back into the bowl to use on other plants. It saves money on both water and fertilizer for literally 1.25
So happy that my procrastination can turn into fiscal support for such a lovely human. Get it girl!!!🎉
I have my staghorn fern in a hanging self watering pot and it's grown massive since then! I've had a lot of luck with putting my thirsty plants in self watering pots.
Happy Friday! Kiss Olive for me. 👏💚🐶🌿when you "found" the mealy my heart was jumping for you.. glad it was nothing 😂😂😂 i am too cheap to buy a squeeze bottle. I poked 1 hole in a pop bottle lid and use that.

My multi flora hoya has 3 wonky stems with flowers but it was taking up too much room. I actually tossed it in my garbage can as i didn't know what to do and i was over her. A few hours later I had the idea of using my Velcro tape, pulled it out of the garbage can, roped her in and now she is on my kitchen island. So glad it wasn't rhe day for putting out my garbage out for pickup, i really love her flowers as they are so different from most Hoya's lol
I use a pressurized sprayer to water my moss poles. It holds 1.5 liters and you can adjust the nozzle to either spray or shoot out a straight stream. I love it, and less trips to the sink!
I feel like your hair looks just a little bit different almost every single video and they literally ALL look good on you 😂❤ PS I’ve been doing the same routine with the mosquito dunks for about 6 months now and it seems to be doing the trick for me! Hopefully it works for you too 👍🏼🌿
I love random plant chores, motivates me to do my random planty things 😃
So happy you posted, just got home from work and this is such a de-stresser for me 🥰 we appreciate your posts Fern
I love, love, love your videos, but plant chores with Fern are my favorite!!
My boys is 2 years old and I got over 100 blooms on it and she is beautiful she has white a lover the leaf really beautiful.
Yay new fern video to enjoy while I drink my coffee
Thank you for another amazing video, Fern. I just love your content. Watched with my coffee, while I watered some of my plant babes. You’re the best, hope you have a fabulous weekend. Hugs to Olive, too. 🤍🌼
You had us FED with videos this week!🙏🙏🙏
Wow. Woke up to a new Fern video. I just watched one last night. Lots of fern!!
Wow you were so productive! Thanks for inspiring me to get to all the things I’ve been avoiding 😆 💕
Wow how beautiful is Hoya Mathilde love your videos are totally therapy and learning a lot from those. Thank you fern 🍀🍀🍃🌿
Yay! Another Fern vid! This really makes my day =)
Fern, this is perfect timing, i am planning to get rid of my fungus gnats tomorrow, so a lot of plant chores to be done, i will watch this video then so we can do plant chores together!
I’d love an updated verrucosum care guide of how you got it so big!! Currently struggling with mine haha
I was trying to decide between cleaning my house or doing plant chores but all I needed was a little wildfern plant chore video to encourage me to definitely choose plant chores! Oh and btw, that nail polish color looks amazing!
Loved the air layering 🌱 great video! Beautiful Hoya!!! I need one!
You are encouraging me to change all my poles from those rock hard commercial ones to the ones you make. Daunting process. Love how you got everything to size up beautifully.
Just keep a loop attached to the cork on staghorn fern . It will grow right around it. No need to ever remount. Mine is hanging outside from a huge chain because its about 5 ft in diameter
You have SUCH enviable patience! If I were extending a grow pole, I’d have just jammed that puppy down on the top. 😊
I thought I found a mealy bug the other day on one of my plants but upon further inspection it was just a piece of fuzz LOL. Also been finding some spider webs on my plants and freaked out thinking it was spider mites. Can you tell I'm still pretty new to the planty life? 😂

@@wildfern Awesome Video!!!! 🙌👍🙌 I was floored on seeing how you air moss layered your Serpens and replanted it.
Hi Fern. Love following you while you do your plant chores. Your Mathilde is so beautiful. My Mathilde has not grown since I got her. I think I’ll look at her roots tomorrow to see what’s going on. Thanks for the inspiration Fern.
I definitely need to buy some thiclly poles because they have only one open side so it holds the moisture better. I’ll probably use some kind of barky mix for the poles because it doesn’t have to be watered as often because it can get rehydrated easier.
Thanks for sharing Fern!
Fern, another enjoyable video to encourage me to do my own planty tasks! I notice you have “Weyward” on your book shelf. Probably a comment for your other channel, but I’m listening to the audio book right now and enjoying it! 😊
I was doing plant watering and making hoya hoops during your video. Was very enjoyable ❤
I'm sure someone already suggested this in the comments, but have you considered adding the moss on your staghorn to your moss pole watering schedule? Your plants are all so gorgeous. I would love to see what you can do w the staghorn. 😊
For the Staghorn fern on the bark, BenjiPlant and Leafing Around talk a lot about them, Benji is the reason I actually bought my first one, his are magnificient
Hi Fern! I do the same with mosquito dunks and after a month of consistent watering with that water, it has completely eradicated my fungus gnat infestation. I used it on my moss poles too. It would have probably been quicker but I didnt use the traps very much for the adults bc I hate the way they look. Have a wonderful weekend! ❤🪴
@wildfern

this is so good to hear! I hate using the sticky traps but needed to get on top of it :( I'm a couple weeks into using the dunk water consistently so 🤞
Hey fern, for the larger moss poles you should try filling a small bottle with water and then turn them over on top of the poles and let the water work it’s way down. I’ve seen sydneyplantguy do that and it’s super helpful.
Here’s a hint to make a better hole in the soil. When you put the chopstick in the soil, circle it around to make the top of the wider than the bottom. There will be more room to plant your cuttings. I’ve done this and it really works.
I really loved this style of video 🙏🏼👏🏼 super relaxing vibes. Your mathilde is so beautiful - mine is so slow to grow 😭

Hope your mathilde will start taking off soon 🥺💚
Yes I’m early for a fern video!!!!
Idk y but the abrupt ending made me LOL
Yay!!! Matilde care! I am struggling with mine 😢
I have a medium bucket from Canadian tire that just fits in my sink and i keep dunk bits in there on hold ready to go! but with spring i might need a second bucket xDD theres never enough water
Have you ever thought or tried the bigger blunt end of the chopstick to push the moss down? I would think it would work better with a larger surface to push the moss down. Just a thought
You are just a breath of fresh air Fern 💫 You make plant chores fun. Quick question, can anyone advise as I was gifted a small Hoya Carnosa Compacta and I had recently had to put my Oxalis Triangularis outdoors for fungus gnats so I switched my other 2 plants to an Orchid potting mix only, I don’t believe it contains any soil, just bark, charcoal, perlite and I forget the other ingredient, but being Hoya are epithetic and grow amongst trees is this ok or does it absolutely require some soil? It’s a little sad looking but I think it could also be because I repotted and changed its substrate, just don’t want to kill it. Any help/advice is appreciated. 🙏🏻
I was literally looking so hard for the mealy 😂😂
Fern, have you tried the ‘chop and extend’ method on the Serpens? It seems like that’s the most successful way of getting plants to size up without having to chop. I haven’t gotten to that point on my poles, but I’m getting close. I’m getting excited! 😬
I tied the stems of my cuprea together like that for a while and when i undid the they stayed standing up straight
i had a philo mexicanum propagation cutting that was ready to move to soil but the stem was too long for the pot so i cut off the extra and went ahead and continued to pot up into soil. then it got stem rot i guess from not callusing over and lost the plant 🥲
You probably noticed that when you root cuttings, the roots always appear where there is a joint, leaf you should always cut 1/8" under a joint, not leaving a stem under. The stem will not make roots. I love your channel.
I think the narrow blooming may have something to do with all the extra love you gave it a few months ago💚
Yeah I could see the red when you put the dark liars in the water.
Great video! What was in that mathilde prop water? Looked like Mountain Dew!
Hi Fern! I have a question about the Trofolia Moss Pole. How hard is it to remove a plant from one of those poles? That's the only thing preventing me from tying one of them. I do love the THICCLY poles, though!! Your entire collection is looking SO good!!!
have you ever thought about squirting water onto the pole only where the plant is? i could imagine all that fertilized water going to waste fertilizing the moss that's so far from the actual plant
@wildfern
Жыл бұрын
You could do that, but they would dry out faster. The dry moss will wick the water towards it.
Hi Fern, do moss poles make plants grow faster or just bigger leaves ? X
Thinking about your riddle Fern are you moving towards the end of the summer that’s what I get from your clues also I am from the uk and I have a 32 year old niece called Fern and I don’t know any other Fern apart from you and a couple of tv presenters all of you are very nice people ❤x

Do you ever open the slats in the window blinds to let in more light or do you close for filming ?
Olive ♥️♥️♥️
Isn’t the staghorn fern shield actually the root. I think I heard that the shield is actually the root
I’ve not seen a one liter squeeze bottle, did you find it on Amazon
It was nice seeing a new video in your channel today! Perfect for some me-time while staying in bed with my cats ❤ Also, I wanted to let you know I’d be interested in buying a cutting from you gorgeous H. Mathilde. LMK if you’re interested!
Do you think the new no id alocasia is a quilted dreams?
I saw your Weyward book, I was just looking at it online. Is it worth the read?
When I extend my poles I slide the top one over the bottom one… is that the wrong way?
