I've just followed this video to install my joie bold. I think it is worth noting that the top tether is clipped to the back of the seat, so unclip that first before connecting the isofix. Saves you trying to force your arm down between the back or the joie and the car seat. Also don't forget to pop out the side impact shields either side

When I tighten the top tether the base of my Joie lifts slightly from the seat of the actual car. Is this normal? Should I tighten less or attempt to adjust the angle of the car seat-back?

I’ve been told I shouldn’t put the seat belt when using ISOFIX as it wouldn’t distribute the impact properly, is that correct? As in the video shows to use both and I have this car seat.

Everybody writing how pointless the instructions are is making me wonder what is wrong with me. Almost didn't need instructions... The only thing that that drove me mad was the iso safe button. Been looking for the damn thing all over the seat. To be fair, I am always looking for the damn button on every car seat ever. Anyways, find the damn iso safe button (it's on the front) extend the hooks, align to the Anchorage points in the car. Loop the vehicle belt through the back of the car seat and slide the top tether into the trunk. Connect isofix, connect vehicle belt and tighten it, connect Tt and tighten it. Car seat shoud not budge. It's 3-5 min job, second time probably even less. I bought summer cover, that thing is something I won't name. I could instal this one seat into three cars by the time I pulled one cover on. Doesn't matter, second time it will be better

Is necessary on group 1 connect seat belt behind child back on car seat? On my car air bags installed inside seat betls and it would be very dangerous for child.

Thanks for checking on this! Yes, the car seat needs to be installed using all three attachment methods: ISOFIX, top tether and seat belt. We recommend checking with your vehicle manufacturer to see if there is a way to turn off the seat belt air bags. If need a group 1 car seat that does not require seat belt thread, check out our stages fx and every stage fx car seats that only require ISOFIX and top tether in group 1.

Look at 2:10. Is a bit tricky

Need some help with installation. Installation on rear seat using all 3 options (car seat belt, top tether and ISOFIX) is clear and seat is fitted tight. Now need to place it on front seat (Šcoda Octavia 2018) without ISOFIX for child ca 15kg using 5 point belts. Seems that it does not fit there correctly. Also looking from this Bold manual and seems that it is not allowed to use Joie Bold in front seat of any car. At same time there is written that it is like universal seat and it mean that it is possible to use without ISOFIX connectors (using just car seat belt so like I understand should be possible to use this seat in front seat of car or not? Also I have Joie Every Stage FX. Connectors are same. How about that? Thanks!

But it says on manuel semi-universal? And they dont allow the front seat.

Ik heb net een poging gedaan om de 3 punts gordel weg te doen en de autogordel te gebruiken, maar heb de auto zelfs niet durven starten. De autogordel was correct bevestigd in de rode clips zoals aangegeven. Maar de gordel keert niet automatisch terug omdat het hoofdkussen er te hard op drukt. Dus vanaf mijn kind wat naar voor buigt of we hard zouden remmen, zou het gewoon mee naar voor vliegen, levensgevaarlijk dus.

Are the harness covers and buckle pad required or optional?

Fajnie że fotelik jako jeden z nielicznych na rynku posiada pięciopunktowe pasy bezpieczeństwa do 25kg. Szkoda tylko że pas z klamrą mocująca pasy jest zbyt krótki!!! Kto to projektował i dla kogo?! Pokażcie na filmiku jak zapinacie 19kg chłopca w zimowych ubraniach. A klamra znajduje się na drugiej dziurce.

The worst seat I have ever experienced. I have it installed in my car for over a year now. Everything gets twisted all the time, all adjustment parts do move only after adding a lot of force. Avoid this seat regardless of any price.
