Amazing location man! Really great flying. How are you liking the frame?

Thanks! I've tried going 7in a couple of times and both were bad experiences, I suck at tuning, and if it doesn't fly good with stock tune, I'm out. This frame flies excellent with betaflight stock tune, I just changed my expo and rates. It handled that tumble in the video way better than I expected, the mount for the GoPro did break, and my GoPro ejected in to more rocks but it still works, it scuffed the front aluminum but didn't touch my FPV camera. I'm using 1700kv motors with 6s, but I think I am going to go to 1300kv motors for better efficiency, my flight time isn't as good as I was thinking about 5 min fully loaded on a 1300mah I could go with a bigger battery but I like the form factor of the 1300mah, I tried my 2200mah 6s 70c but they are old and I got around the same flight time.

Watch a couple of your videos, I thought you were someone thinking about buying the frame, didn't realize you designed it!!!! That's Awesome. One of my attempts at 7in was buying a CNC router and making my own arms for a ZMR250 frame it went as well as you would expect. My custom 5in arms for the ZMR worked good though, they are what are in my GurrFPV Logo in my videos.

@@gurrfpv Glad it handled the tumble. Yeah those GoPro mounts are basically consumables, fortunately they're cheap and two are included in the pack. If you want to print your own, there is a file on Thingiverse. There's actually a 2mm one as well that should allow you to discard the spacer plate if you want. They're pretty easy to print out of TPU. Going down in Kv should definitely increase your flight times. Oddly enough, going down in voltage will as well. You can probably get a minute or two more just by going to a 4S 2000mAh, and even a bit more by going to 4S 2200mAh. I was running 2510 1250kv on 4S 7" on my test rig and it gets really good flight times and still has a surprising amount of power. You should be able to get 10min + on that setup no problem with lower Kv motors and 4S higher mAh packs.

@@gurrfpv That's great! I think my first attempts at design were some custom arms of for the ZMR250, then a full custom redesign of it. That quickly morphed into much more complicated designs, and I got the chance to start working with Lumenier in 2018 with the QAV-R 2 frame. Been doing contract work for them ever since. It's a blast for sure!

I really appreciate the close-up shots at the beginning of the video. I recently built one of these frames. I used the speedybee v3 f733 stack, getting a good position for the capacitor was difficult, i didnt think about rotating the fc 180, so i put my capacitor underneath the frame, theres a little slot down there between the fc and the vtx. But looking at your solution for it, i may go back later today and rotate my fc. Check out my short where i flew it los, before my vtx and goggles arrived.

Hi thanks for watching. I used Double Sided Foam Tape, I cut out a little spot out for the connector so it would sit flat.
