My FAVORITE Polka Band, bar none. I talked with Johnny Vadnal several years ago--what a great gentleman! I grew up hearing these guys on TV...loved them and later, when I played keyboard in a polka band, I appreciated their musicianship and professionalism even more. God love you all--you sure made a lot of people happy with your sound.

JOHNNY VADNAL WAS THE BEST!!! HE SOLD ONE OF HIS ITALO AMERICAN ACCORDIONS TO MY GRANDPA, WHO HAD TO TAKE OUT A LOAN FOR IT, TO GIVE TO MY FATHER, RONNIE DODICH WAS HE WAS 13 YRS OLD! MY DAD TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD WITH THAT ACCORDION FOR OVER 60 YRS! AT 84 YRS OLD, HE'S STILL PLAYING THAT ACCORDION! WE WERE BLESSED AND CHERISH THAT ACCORDION!!

Wow .. can't believe this legend has been gone for almost 11 years now. All the great 'Cleveland Style Slovenian' Polka bands I enjoyed while growing up are gone now. RIP Johnny ...

I remember the Vadnals playing after every Circle 2 Concert at Rechar Hall. Lots of great memories!
