When an accomplished country music singer sings a great song, it’s kinds of like having an intimate conversation with a close friend. To me, that’s the beauty of country music.
Everyone was a Cowboy for the entire year of 1980 because of this jam.

The reason I started listening to country music is Johnny Lee. I heard this song as I was flipping through the radio dial and left it on and my disco days were over.

Why do I cry when I hear this song
Go Johnny Lee sing it my favorite Country song 👍💪👍👍
Should be in county hall of Fame
I mean, who in their right mind wouldn't love Johnny Lee....followed him throughout the 70's and 80"s while sand rail and drag boat racing!!
Heard this in urban country one of the best songs ❤❤

Me too! Up in my 70s. Still like 80s music.
YES!!!! I was a young lad back in 80 (14 yrs old) but still dig on this tune.... searching their eyes, looking for traces of a GOOD soul...also, what a bad ass hat he's wearing!
I love the song but when he sings now I see the song aged well like a fine wine and sounds even better. It may be better sound systems but I don’t think so.
Absolute perfection
What a great country song, Johnny Lee still has the mojo, brings back so many memories of my teen years in the 80s, simple song that everyone can relate.
I wanted to give a thumbs up. But I already did. THUR THAT UP!
Almost perfect lyrics and delivery.
I was just a teenager when that song came out. I thought he was so handsome and I loved that song. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Man time flies by. ❤❤❤
One of my all time favorite songs.

Ahhh, when country was country.....love his music along with Don Williams and so on...
He was the best
One of the most handsome men from the early 80s. He ended up marrying the stunning Charlene Tilton from the TV show "Dallas". He had a string of other great country songs the following years. I hope with COVID winding down he will be back out entertaining as he was before the pandemic.

This song reminds me of my mom, who died a couple months ago. She and my dad, Indian immigrants, loved country - Mac Davis, Kenny Rodgers... Just started singing this in the morning out of the blue after 40 years.. Go figure....

1980! Great year. Melancholy memories of a time when USA was still great, no matter with the so called issues of the time. Carter loses, Reagan wins, Aids scare starts, Mt. Saint Helens erupts, etc.... Not much really going on. 2022 is another story, a nightmare that is.

I wonder who has more fur--the hat or Johnny's chest? Between his chest, his beard, and his hat you could keep a whole family of Eskimos warm.
