Is it just me or is Lane Brody one of the most beautiful women on the planet? Pretty good singing voice too. I could watch this video 100 times.

It's too bad not everyone likes the classic country. Sadly we lost several great artists that paved the way for the new generation. Today's country music sounds like a mixture of rock & hip / hop or rap

Just sent this to my darling, cousin and Goddaughter who is just home from the hospital in Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in Galveston and Nonie loved the song. Thank you! (Sent her yellow roses, as well from her, native, New Yorker cousin.). All good!

Oh, my. Lane gave me chills when she opened her mouth. Johnny was so right at the end when he said she sounds just the same. And he showed during the bridge he can still bring the quips I remember from his concerts. A genuine gentleman loving what he does.

I don't usually comment on music unless i hear something that i think is special. This was one of my fav songs back when J.L. & L.B. first recorded it. To say they still sound better live than on the recording, i don't think is going too far. Their voices are a perfect blend. Finding this version and hearing this song again made my ears smile.

I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny Lee at the county fair this weekend and he is a sweet approachable person. So very friendly and sweet. I asked him for a guitar pic for my daughter and he gladly gave her one after the song. He also took pics with us, hugged him and he's just an awesome man. His daughter sang this with him, Cherish Lee and she's as nice as he is. He put on a great concert and very sweet. Love u Johnny!!

Lane Brody never got the attention she deserved. I equate her with Emmylou Harris and Patty Loveless. Her voice is exquisite, but you rarely hear her on country radio. There are very few albums I own where I like every single cut, but Lane's self-titled album is in that category. "Baby's Eyes" and "Stay With Me" knock the socks off of anything that Taylor Swift or Shania Twain have ever done.

I honestly had never heard of Lane Brody until she came into my restaurant with Eddie Bayers and I talked to them for a little bit just yesterday. They are very nice people and very big health nuts, lol. They both are a very cute couple. Then they told me they used to big pretty big and country-jazz music. He is a great drummer and used to play for big names like Garth Brooks, Peter Frampton, and Bob Seger. They told me a little about themselves then of course I had to look them up. Pretty cool. Eddie was diagnosed with diabetes and she helped get him beat it within 3 months! She would let him have any of our apple pie ;-)

Hairs on the back of the neck. I revisit these shows regularly but as time marches forward the greats are passing away .We no longer have Roy Clarke , Lynn Anderson and Charley Pride to name a few. Fortunately we have the records and they will live on through their songs. The golden age will never be repeated. In the 21st Century we have the likes of Marty Stuart and Kenny Vaughn to keep the flame alive.

Little Jimmy Dickens! Thank you. I don't know how old this video is but he caught my attention because he looked so alone inspite of the crowd around him. The song Yellow Rose is so inspiring esp. when sang by Johnny Lee and Lane. I'm not an American but I love country songs so much.
