I sat next to him for 6 hours on an aircraft, and I must say; he was quiet and somewhat shy, but he was a PERFECT gentleman. Once he saw my wedding rings he said, “You’ve got gorgeous hair and beautiful skin.” I told him that my black hair was “virgin” hair (it’s still not grey and I’m 52, and I’ve never colored it in my life). I told him albeit I live in Arizona, I NEVER go in the sun, but I take Vitamin D to make up for it. I told him how fantastic he smelled! He blushed!

The major thing about Johnny Depp that no one mentioned... is that each and every of his roles are completely different from one another. Most actors "act" the same way even when they're in a different role... they just go under another name. But all Johnnys characters are different from one another in they way they move, talk, think, look.. everything. To me that´s what makes him so unique.

Carrie Fischer had a quote I liked "my introversion is a way of managing my extroversion" some people are like that it's a spectrum how introverted and extroverted someone is and certain people are extroverted for their jobs but not their personal lives to strike a balance. I worked in sales for years had to be very outgoing and could be for social engagements too but enjoyed lots of alone time also did not need attention did not particularly like attention but could handle it also. It's a self control thing like an alter ego.

Watch Arizona Dream if you haven't, Johnny ROCKS at that movie, awesome chemistry with Faye Dunaway. It's a masterpiece of a movie, I don't know people don't talk much about it.

I've seen closely how newspapers distort reality and make things look worse so they sell more. When it comes to media, I believe like 50%. About satanism, I wouldn't mind so much, there are people who get curious about it for some reason, it has a certain philosophy to it. I don't judge people for their religious context. Religion is more about ideas than about images. And most of what I heard about satanism is not about being bad, but it's about caring about yourself, as a potential way of living in group. While christianism is about always the other, and sacrificing yourself. It's just ideas, we're just humans trying to figure things out man. Now, is there child sacrifice? Yes, probably. But just as christians had kkk, and most christians don't relate to that. Not so different.

Johnny has always struck me as being unusually kind, humble, compassionate, friendly (not that I’ve ever had the luck to meet him in person), generous, maybe a little quick at trusting others. He has a lot of awesome traits that most of us want to surround ourselves with.

I think you've hit the nail on the head about not feeling good enough about himself. and you would be surprised at how many actors and actresses share this quality. its more widely accepted as a trait in comedians, make others laugh to cover up the sadness in your heart. if you pay close attention to Depps tone and his body language he is clearly very uncomfortable and also struggling to keep it together in this interview. this is not an insult to his character, there is no reason to get defensive. my guess is that 1. he was fairly ackward to begin with and 2. the sum of his acting career has begun to catch up with him. playing a role for a year, or 2, or 3, or 4 (jack sparrow) has some seriously taxing effects on your mind. with the range of crazy, flamboyent, over the top characters he is almost always playing it must be difficult to allow himself to just be himself at times.

Johnny Depp is absolutley one of the best actors ever lived on this planet!❤️👏

For some reason this is the most interview that JD is relaxed in...it tells loads about how good of an interviewer you are....Johnny normally uses comedy or humour to escape his anxiety in interviews he didn't have to her. So yeah I salute you for that ❤

The most admirable thing about johnny is that he was born with a good face. Bravo johnny. Also he is an above average, but not phenomena actor. Bravo.

let me guess, you've watched 3 of his movies all of which were Pirates of the Caribbean. you might wanna find a few more cause he's one of the best actors to grace the screen..

I love him.! And have respect for this amazing actor! He has done a lot of characters in movies that are just outstanding, Edward scissor hands for me is a classic. As well with many other characters such as Cry baby, Captain Jack sparrow and Sweeney Todd.! I look up to him and is a major inspiration To those who want to succeed in acting. You are very lucky to have interviewed him. Thank you for sharing.! ( :

He was sad. This was during his relationship with Amber. He was being abused. Just nobody knew how bad it was for him. If you pay attention to him from 2013-2016 he looks so broken down. 2017-2018 he started to look better, then the op-ed came out and he looked so very sad and struggling all over again. He’s finally starting to look and seem a little more like his old self again. The Johnny we knew and loved before her.

That smile in 0:39 reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean

Johnny Depp my and millions of other peeps childhood hero. I was 11 years old when pirates of the Caribbean and since then he was my fave❤️❤️

Johnny Depp is humble and also so grounded to the Earth. He's a spiritual being, for sure. His eyes are hauntingly beautiful in their sadness. Amazing actor, musician and probably the closest one will ever get to human perfection!

They hit the nail right on the head so to speak. Love him quirkiness he's the king of it, his shyness draws us like a magnet to him, funny, definitely intriguing, mysterious and magical absolutely , so handsome it's unbelievable and so wise beyond his years!! ❤ That's Johnny Depp in a nutshell!!

I am thinking that this was about the time that he was in the relationship with Amber Heard. Fuck yeah, he was EXHAUSTED! He was lucky to have gotten away from her with his LIFE. She did everything to try to break him. I am so thankful that he has so many people who love him.

This movie was so beautiful, Johnny and Rebecca were simply amazing, not to mention Paul's character. I love that his kids call Johnny Uncle Fun. I remember Freddie Highmore saying he was always using fartbags or something on set to get the kids laughing. Johnny Depp is a fantastic actor, I wish him the best and look forward to his next movie.

I agree. He was lovely to interview. He is one of those few actors that actually gets out of his chair to greet you. He even gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek. Such a rare and awesome personality to come across in Hollywood.
