As a young man i look to Johnny Cash as the everyman's musician, in someway somehow he can appeal to practically anybody but represents an incredibly genuine and "real" sort of celebrity. I will stay a fan for the rest of my life.

When anyone starts to devide people by color, religion, eyes, etc... - it is a disease... Great to read your adequate words at this crazy time, my dear.
How lucky am I discovering this song just tonight in 2024 :) darling companion was a favourite Jonny & June, this is a new contender. God bless them, humanities finest
Save your love through loneliness ... Save your love through sorrow ... I gave you my onlyness ... Give me your tomorrow ... Thanks for the truth ... In which I can see the light of day ... Thanks Johnny Cash ...
My world is still grinding, I am 75 old I hope for a chance. Married 50 years
This might not have 51,000,000 views like the music coming out today but it’s far superior.
I think that's the ultimate love song. Johnny and June not only sang it but they meant it.💖
"I gave you my onlyness, give me your tomorrow." I like that.

Interesting: that's the one line in the song that I *don't* like, because "onlyness" isn't a real word, and I don't know what he meant by it, and so the line just doesn't make sense. But I still love the song, though!

@@matthewgliatto7339 fair enough. I tend to like words of questionable properiety, particularly in songs and poems where they force a certain ambiguity and multiple interpretations. To me he is saying he gave up his lone wolfism.

Hard to believe it's 20 years today that June passed. The wildwood flowers still grows on the eternal bed where her and John will sleep together for eternity.
I'm 57yrs old...my parents took me to see Johnny Cash when I was 7 & 8 yrs old...I saw two of his concerts in Jackson,TENN...I will never forget those memories....his two shows were AWESOME....
The thing I love about Johnny Cash is that he sang about humanness. He talked about the good and bad and lived the good and bad. My prayer for him is that he is up there singing in heaven with the angels. That was his gift!

Well said
My secret favorite Johnny and June song. June's voice has always sounded so enveloping and familiar. Like it draws out subtle traces of another life none remember. No memories or anything, just a feeling you only find at a place you know as home.
imagine being in the deep woods so dark at night ya cant even see your hands in an RV just you and your husky... with this song playin!! im living the best life ever!!
❤. Rest In Peace 🕊️🕊️ Beautiful June Carter Cash ❤
This song sums up what love should be between a man and a woman. Not just romantic love, but having children, being a team in good times and bad, and putting each other first. With all kinds of love as a solid foundation. Thanks, Johnny and June.

A man and woman's love for each other in marriage is what this song speaks to me soundly about. "Will you honor me for better or worse rich or poor and in sickness or health all the days of our lives until death do we part? My Father and Mother did this 52 plus years!! Miss you both this year terribly in 2022. Your baby son!! ❤️
❤. Rest in Peace 🕊️🕊️ Johnny Cash ❤

This is a song by Tim Hardin. I didn’t know him. Check his version. I love Johnny Cash though. And June and he were perfect for this song.
RICHMOND VIRGINIA WRVA Spring 1994 heard this song playing on a midday talk show the topic was city of Richmond crime...the caller said crime was like a river surrounding the city. The last thing he said before he slammed down the phone... "I'VE GOT NEWS FOR YOU, SOME OF US CAN SWIM!"
The guitar play is just tight they don't play like that no more
The most played Song in Brazil 🤔🤔
