Diamond's hard but not tough, @Asvolies Harvem; it's a subtle difference that matters in technical discussions, but isn't easily conveyed in normal conversation because hard & tough tend to be mixed together. Basically, diamonds resist deformation/indentation/surface damage (hardness), but their crystalline structure makes them vulnerable to shattering (toughness).

Johnny is so strong that he can stand there while a stone monolith smashes itself on his head and he barely noticed but absolutely feels it when his head smashes against Diamond. That alone sets a very good limit to the punishment this dude can take and absolutely explains why women can knock him around and he gets right back up like he didn’t just get a brutal head injury.

I Love that Johnny is just a towering wall of muscle and is practically indestructible.

You know, for as much as he gets the shit beat out of him, I kind of forget that Johnny is an absolute beefcake. He exerts no effort whatsoever to keep that zirconium from Azula. Diamond isn't actually that uncommon. We use it in electronics and industry all the time. It's Diamonds in jewelry and natural gems that are worth a lot of money.

Johnny is actually goddamn strong when he chooses to be. She uses her entire body to try and pry the gem out of his one hand and he just stood there utterly unmoved because he was more interested in the zirconium than in her at that moment.

The fact that the actress playing the thief is the same actress that plays cat woman makes me like this episode a lot more. Also the fact that Johnny is basically on gokus level of strength by ramming his hard into diamond with ease and tanking a 5 ton pillar to the head

Cubic Zirconium is basically worthless and any value is does have is because it "looks" like diamond and so it's used in cheaper alternative jewellery that's just supposed to look nice without literally wearing high hundreds to thousands plus on your finger etc.

The biggest part of the scene is the fact that a huge gem of zirconium (which is a lab grown crystal used as a cheap substitute for diamond in jewelry) is protected by the vastly more valuable diamond case. Its a literal textbook definition of irony, which the would-be burglar lady helpfully points out. when Johnny swallows the zirconium and remarks 'the other white meat' its a reference to an ad campaign from some point advertising pork as 'the other white meat'.

I love how most-expensive jewels are always exposed with a convenient skylight just over them.

Credit where credit is due: Johnny is a real tank to be able to shake off a pillar falling on him like it was nothing.

Better that it stays that way. Considering that Looney Toons' stunk recently got cancelled, it's best no one brings up Johnny Bravo before he gets cancelled too.

Imagine Johnny gets ripped for a woman only to get dumped and the entire show is each day after his breakup where he's just going around having a good time meeting people

Basically the plot. He got buff for a woman and still got dumped and each day he’s just living his life and trying to get a new date.

2:03 fun fact, that vocabulary (Drat) is uncommonly used today.

I just realized he basically moves through life completely unfazed by all that happens around him.

Rewatching these scenes as an adult is something else

I miss this so much!!!

I love two things about these clips. 1. Johnny head/Spine shattered a Granite pillar that fell on him, the his head shattered a Diamond case. 2. I love the fact that he ate it & knew what it was immediately... implying he’s ate that kind of stuff before. I just know Johnny isn’t human anymore.

I like how her first reaction to Johnny's presence is to *topple an obelisk onto his head*. And how Johnny stands there, completely oblivious to her obviously doing.

As a security guard, "stop in the name of an independently contracted security firm" is absolutely killing me
