F Hugh Steve Irwin was far from a ignorant, big mouthed, attention seeking, self promoting, dipshit that finally got what he deserved. He was very far from that. He did everything in the name of conservation and is the reason i have an interest in reptiles and am going to start my youtube channel about our awesome Aussie wildlife. F--k you for disrespecting our greatest Aussie ikon. RIP Steve Irwin and f--k you. He did not get what he deserved.

i had a teacher that used to work at australia zoo as a volunteer and one day in 2006 she gets a phone call in the middle of class, which wasnt that weird. but then she just dropped to the floor crying then when she brought herself together she told us that Steve Irwin had passed away. it was crazy the impact it had on everyone. i still remember it till this day, great teacher, i remember how she got the whole school involved in planting like 1,000 native trees in the school grounds. i drive past the one i planted a lot and it always reminds me of the day steve passed on.

Dunno what the school fuss was about: Steve Irwin should have left the damned sting-ray alone, rather than getting so close to it and discovering (to his fatal cost) what happens when one of these noble creatures does when threatened. He should have known (and probably did) what would happen if he frightened them in their natural environment.

Wild animals are called 'wild' for a reason. Humans ignore this to their peril. Steve is just the latest example.

I was at work when we first learnt about Steve Irwin passing away and was on my way home from work on the train when we first learnt Peter Brock later that's same week as Steve Irwin passed away. Steve Irwin passed away on a Tuesday and Peter Brock passed away on a Friday and it was early Friday in the same week.

I still remember the day I found out he died I was 7 years old and my dad picked me up from school. before he drove he said to me "Matt..I heard Steve got into accident today but we think he will be ok". I thought at that moment that he would be ok because he always seemed invincible. later that night the news reporter said he died and just cried and cried asking why did he have to go. I was crying for days, what was equally worse was that my planned a trip to go to Australia Zoo a month before this and I wanted to s see him in action just like I saw on my dvds. The two biggest lessons I learnt from Steve is that you should always be true yourself/to the people around you and that if you have the dedication and passion for something you love go at it with 100%. We still miss you Steve and we will never forget what you did for the world.

You didn't need to know this man to sense a massive loss at his passing... He was all of us in one way or another... The son who carried on his father's legacy and turned it into an empire... The husband who loved his wife more than life itself... The father who raised his kids how he saw fit and didn't let anyone tell him it wasn't right. Steve lived his life HIS way... and that's how he left us too. 2021 and it still feels like yesterday You don't need to be an Aussie to feel a deep sense of loss at his passing... He touched so many people around the world... And us Aussies were always happy to share him with everyone. He made understanding wildlife exciting again for a whole generation of kids and us parents loved him for it... He was wholesome... Real. The fact that so many people still mourn his passing is testament to how deep a level he touched us all on. Now with the angels... RIP you bloody legend!!

A day where every Australian will remember where they were when they heard of Steve Irwin's passing. As a Queenslander, with Steve's Australia Zoo being less than an hour from where i lived, we completely mourned. A legend. An icon. A proud Dad and Husband. A Father in law and Grandad that I have no doubt he would have adored being. RIP Steve. You are loved, and Australia well and truly took your family under their wing to support them in their time of need ❤❤❤

Steve is my idol. I grew up loving animal planet just because of him. I love animals and watching his shows made me love animals more. I wanted to be a veterinarian because of him. I learned so much from him. I went to my room and cried when I came home from school and saw it on the t.v news. Even wrote it on my diary. I was 14 that time. He's my hero. And this is the first time I ever wrote a comment on KZread. That's how much he means to me. The world is missing her hero. R. I.P to Steve Irwin. God continue to bless his family.

Australia Has always been on the map, Thank you for your support of the free world. We thank you for your great efforts to conserve the world's wildlife. As an American I can confidently say we ALL loved Steve! Many imitating his quirky sayings & the rest in total awe of what he did with animals. Not just crocs but ALL ANIMALS! How he could walk right up to anything, grab it, show it off then tell how beautiful it was before setting it free. Steve taught us to love & care for the animals. It’s up to all of us, globally to care for Gods creatures. He did a very fine job and I know God is so proud of all the good he did. Steve would be so proud of Bindi & Robert. Doing their fathers work. I’m proud of them lol. What a woman Terri is, her passion as sting as Steve’s and grief just as sting to match it. Bless her heart, to lose her mate so early. Terri & Steve were 100% soulmates! I can’t imagine her broken heart. We will all get to reunite with the ones we love so much and have lost, but until that time comes. Think of them, honor them, and love & respect those you still have with you. Some people 🙋🏻‍♀️ don’t have families or people that care about them. So if you do treasure it deeply. The only thing some of us want in life is simply to be loved….

True Blue is about being a decent bloke and not shirking the hard stuff, giving everyone a fair crack, and (acknowledging that we are all special) not being too "special" yourself.
