John Wayne is America, he means the greatest of the American cinema, always the best. His best leading ladies were Maureen O'Hara, Ella Raines, Vera Miles.

Badman and The Angel with Gail Russell is in my top five of Wayne's movies

Good choice

Replace Angie Dickerson with Charlene Holt in El Dorado and I'll agree with your list, except I'm ambivalent about Marlene Dietrich. Never cared for her at all. Perhaps switch her out for Lauren Becall from Blood Alley and The Shootist.

Ooh, Angie - not sure about replacing her, although can't argue with Charlene. And Dietrich, meh. There are just so many 😃. 8 outa 10 ain't bad!
