darkyinyang1 Caravan is a jazz standard by Juan Tizol (though accredited to Duke Ellington). I guess that's one, but I haven't watched the movie yet. :)

never understood jazz...it seems the music brings out so much passion, that other people trying to copy it seems pointless. meaning one performance of a song may be completely different from another.

thats why music is different than most other art forms. You can't recreate a painting or dance making it your own, but jazz (and other genres) are all about making something your own. You have solos and arrangements of the same song to the point that you could listen to 10 or 20 arrangements of the same song and hear something entirely different the whole time. The whole point is that one performance is completely different from another because no musician is the same as another
