John Terry On Missing That Penalty, Idolising Stephen & Leaving Football Management
Спорт
Stephen is joined by Chelsea legend John Terry for a frame and a chat. John speaks about Jose Mourinho, his current ambitions in football management, his idolisation of Stephen Hendry, and his emotions after missing a penalty in the Champions League Final. John is also pretty handy at snooker, with some great potting on display. Enjoy!

I wasn't expecting to spend half an hour listening to John Terry tonight, not to mention enjoying it. 'Chat through a snooker match with Stephen Hendry' is a pretty cool format.
I am always facinated to see how you like people more if you just listen to their stories. Imagine what a nice world we could have if we would just talk more to one another. Love the format! Thank you Stephen Hendry!

Nah, we all just want to be told what and how to think via endless online media and "influencers" these days. Now give me some quick McOpinions!
There's something about conversations that happen while doing an activity (e.g. playing snooker), it seems to get people more relaxed. Always good chats in Hendry's videos.

It's crazy how noticeably slow that table is compared to the the match tables you see on TV...or a even a half decent club table. Great vid as always.

Really love this series, so interesting hearing the sporting mentality of different professional sportspeople
Stephen Hendry is a living legend. Love this.
Love this stephen h series :) its really nice to see these interviews whilst watching stephen talking about topics that maybe somewhat harder to open up about to his guests and the fact its actual real talk over a simple frame makes this a really nice and relaxed relatable series. This one especially with john t , hes a nice dude and hearing his point about everything and his side is a nice watch and it just goes to show that were all human at the end of the day 😊and fair play for opening up 😊
Loving all these vids. I love Stevens attitude and conversations, so chilled and a great incite to everyone's character off the table. Brilliant.
I was never a John Terry fan, but he comes across really well here. Tough table that, like playing on a carpet. Stephen, better brush up on your rules before the WC, no miss when you need a snooker!

You're right, he could only secure enough points to be 1 point behind. However, it's only in the professional game that a cue ball, and other balls that moved in a foul shot, can be replaced and that can only be done by a referee. Hendry just wanted to keep the scores closer to prolong the game and the conversation. Either that, or he didn't think about the rule.

Come on Stephen!!! All to play for in the evening session mate. Keep your head up and you got this. You’re a legend.
Bumped in to Terry at Chessington a few years ago. He knew I'd clocked him but I didn't go and hastle him like some do. His son then came over and offered my son a toy that JT had just won on a stall. Thought that was a nice thing to do.

That's actually quite nice. I hate to say it here but Terry seems very personable and such a nice guy in the video, strange feeling seeing it after years of disliking him. This comment doesn't help! 😂 Same thing happened to my mate on holiday, spotted him and as he's a massive United fan went over to speak to him. He said on the way he saw Scholes looking fed up and my friend noticed that his son was having a difficult time (he's non verbal autistic), my friend stopped and left him alone. Two days later my friend gets a tap on the shoulder and it's Scholes himself thanking him for his privacy during a difficult family moment and bought him a pint and had a chat. I always love hearing things like this about famous people

Great program, Stephen is very funny, great guests, fun show, never miss a new episode.
just stumbled across this chanel and I love it. I wasn't keen on either SH or JT when they were playing (I was a Jimmy WHite and Liverpool fan) but they are great to listen to and I love the format of a relaxed game of snooker while chatting about the game they both dominated so much. Thanks Stephen
First comment Stephen makes he mentions Bridge! If that was intentional Henry is a comedic genius!

Great episode, especially after the Ben Foster one! Thank you Stephen!
Absolutely brilliant by two great legends in there sports👏👏
three impressions from a massive fan: Steven gets his guests to speak very honestly and openly, which is GREAT; the cameraman does a great job and probably doesn't get enough credit; and whatever Terry was wearing on his wrist as a timekeeping device was pretty cool. Was it a Nautilus? Great stuff.
Another great ep - love this podcast.

He does this with everyone, I think? 😂 That was always my impresion. In that difficult table challenge, too. He did it alone carefully but then when he makes others do it, he distracts them talking and walking around the table. 😋 That's why he had one of the biggest scores. 😁
@AD-kv9kj
Жыл бұрын
@@tarastreasure Not really. When he did it, he was constantly talking to a cameraman who was walking around the table the whole time too. He also always stops and waits whenever others are on a shot. Don't think the others can use that as an excuse tbh, they simply didn't do as well, simple as.
The pain of letting a team down is awful. I play in a pool team and in the cup final it came down to the final game 7 after it being 3-3, myself and their top player played and I lost my game 2-1, felt so disappointed in myself letting my team down. Doesn’t matter how many you win, it stays with you and hurts
Of course he doesn't think about it everyday,it's every 2nd day! Terry was outstanding (look at his goals scored record) and a brilliant Chelsea captain!
Unreal collab
