I feel like the disadvantage of having Craig as CEO is we’d just be staring at his awesome hair and not actually listen to him. I only ever remember laughing when he was on stage, so what he did at Apple is sort of a blank. Yup. I think he’s the perfect leader.

I like Craig but he cant be a CEO, he has had some serious oversight issues in Software deliveries. I think John has got the hardware nailed down the last few years, he probably is a product GUY, so a better CEO. But I think in any case it will be hard to replica the sheer operational efficiency of Cook. He got the supply chains locked up for apple and made a killing for apple. He will forever be the one that the most money for apple, and he has hit a wall in growth himself recently

He could do well. It's interesting to see a hardware guy nominated to the pole position when Apple has really been trying to get services to big revenue status. Perhaps the long term strategy of the board is to move Apple back into greater hardware innovation year over year. JT would be a good leader to make that happen. Hairforce is just along for the ride. He is much better as a 2ic and evangelist than the policymaker

I can see that possibly with long term vision. But I agree, they’ve leaned in so hard with software. Maybe they think they’ll have that momentum going long after Cook has retired…then they need to really double down on hardware. I’m ALL for that!
