John has always fascinated me... On one side, he is a realist and one of the very few people who began noticing strange things about Dutch early on, but on the other, he sometimes seemed to be trying to convince himself that van der Linde was right, somehow, and that the things they did were justified. This is partly why I've always related to him more than I did to Arthur: it took Arthur way more time and thinking to question his loyalty.

John's development is too often missed by many people. He's such a great character and we can understand how much he suffered during his outlaw life and after. In rdr1 too he talks about how he suffered for his crimes and the crimes of the gang. I don't really know if in rdr1 he really was meant to not remember this girl, but i suppose in rdr1 he did remember, when he says "people don't forget" he probably also is one of those who don't forget, as hard as he wishes he could. I say that, but they even made john says that he is still trying to forget 0:24 Just to say, i like the way john says "who? I think it's because Dutch is very egotistical. John seemed to be questioning Dutch for a while during the game. Then Arthur started doing the same a lot towards the end of the game, rightfully so, though. While Micah seemed to be doing the opposite. I think of when they captured Bronte and he made the huge mistake of saying things to Dutch, like that he was nothing and does nothing, then bets his men wouldn't even be loyal. That's what I think made Dutch become so brutal after Bronte says that stuff.
