Gotta go 3 at the back. With Saka at LWB with license to bomb forward. So much more variation with the player we have in a back 3. You get width and more bodies in midfield. Plus you can decide if you want to stick to a double pivot infront of defence & have 2 10's or go with 2 Upfront with maybe TAA at RWB pinning balls over for variation. This 4-2-3-1 doesn't work with the players he has selected or got at his disposal. ie no proper LB & Foden at LW.

If you put Bellingham alongside Rice, we will lose within the first half. Madrid tried to play Bellingham in midfield they truly struggled. That’s why Madrid put him in the number 10 position. Jude is luxury player, he doesn’t have stamina to dictate games from midfield like Tony Kroos. I wish Gareth has the balls to drop Jude for 45 minutes and try Foden in the 10 and play Gordon and Palmer on wings and Rice and Mainoo behind Foden. We will dominate and score goals.

I would rather play Gomez at LB. But we all know he's going to play Trippier. All these players available and keep playing the same team. This team has no movement.

Watched all England matches. Pickford is restless and makes the whole defensive line nervous. Walker & Stones keep the ball too much and give the opposition time to organize themselves. Trippier is useless (surprised that Gomez didn't get a chance). Rice & Mainou look settled. People need to recognize how much Saka tracks back and stabilizes the defense. The attack is too disorganized in pressing. Solution: if Shaw is not coming back, revert to 3-2-4-1. The lineup is: Pickford Walker-Stones-Gomez Mainou-Rice Saka-Belingham-Foden-Gordon Kane

Problem with that formation is the reason we're crap in attack is that every opponent packs the midfield in front of their area. So that formation would be way too congested. Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham and Foden would be out of it creatively... Southgate needs to play a traditional 433 with Rice Foden and Bellingham in midfield, then Gorden, Saka and Kane up front.

Saturday just before 7pm, we will be.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we scraped through the QF but Not holding out much hope we will. GS has instilled caution and fear into this group who are terrified of taking any risks. Blindingly obvious several players are tired/ unfit/ out of form but don’t expect too many changes just the usual dross.

Switzerlands high press style will be too much for the side Southgate will play, hope I’m wrong though obviously

Bellingham is the problem in this team and there's no way the other players want him there. Just watch his interviews and he's made them all bitter and spoilt. Why bring players that are in doubt? I don't get it. The Premier league is groaning with home grown talent as is the EFL. Stones obviously isn't up to it. It's all a bit of a shambles. Even Gareth is saying it's a gamble. Crazy. And Luke Shaw...seriously?! Gomez plays on the left.

Kobbie Mainoo is as good a passer as Trent and he recovers the ball better than Gallagher and for an attacking team that dominates possession and the ball, the idea of recovering the ball being essential in the midfielders when they should have the ball more often that not during the game is absurd y’all just trying to make Connor Gallagher a factor and he is levels below Mainoo as well as the other top midfielders in the world

John stones is the player that sets the tone for the sloth like pace that we play at . Good when we do t have the ball but his posey ‘style’ of trying to look super relaxed sets the tone for the ridiculously static non-pace at which England play. Hardly ever pops up with. Centre half’s headed goal from a corner either. As unremarkable as he is over rated.
