Paxson was clutch player during those Bulls 3 Peat run in 91-93 he was the unsung hero especially in Game 5 against the Lakers in 91.

@@yunglordz5907 It was a great sequence because all 5 players touched the ball on that position and Paxson came up with the clutch shot

The guy embraced his role, so much respect for guys like that. A lot of us dreamed of being like Mike, but we ended up barely measuring up to pax.

Pax’s defense was also underrated. He single-handedly shut down Byron Scott in the Lakers series, all but killing LA’s outside game. He also kept Terry Porter at bay in the Portland series.

My brother and I would kind of play act as the Bulls. Jordan was too good, so I was Paxon and he was Pipen. Looks like a great guy and beautiful family!

Paxson's shot against the Suns was much more impressive than Kerr's against the Jazz, don't understand why Kerr's shot is so overhyped.

Kerr makes one big shot & gets compared to Pax. As commentator Dan Roan says here, Pax drills shot after shot when it matters. Pax was a quality starter. Kerr would not start on any team in the league. Though he was a valuable sub.

Because it was Michael Jordan who passed Steve Kerr the ball. Horace Grant was the one who passed it to John Paxson

In the early years was MJs only backup who was always ready, clutchman who put his body into it every night.

@Jayzo Black Mamba Jr Jordan hasn't exactly lit it on fire as Charlotte's owner. And I think MJ is the greatest (player). So let's remember Mike & John P as players.

Fucking hell, just imagine if Paxson still play with Bulls in 96-98, we would've see the 90s splash brother between Paxson & Kerr.

Why did paxson completely shave his hair ?I absolutely have no clue about this.he isn't destined to live with such hairstyle.I mean take a look at these highlights.he was actually charming back in the day.now,he has already looked like an ordinary old man

Ha, my mom had a crush on him back in the day. We were Blazers fans and his brother had played for us in the 80's. When she saw John she thought he was the best looking guy in the NBA, had his basketball cards. Not sure why he shaved his head, not a good look for him.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. I think John Paxson actually lost his hair? I agree, he's nowhere near as handsome today as he is now. I fell off at 28, after being handsome from 20-27. I also think he's divorced now. And, I remember Jim Paxson killing the Sonics. I remember when the Blazers had Kiki Vandeweghe and Jim Paxson. Shooters!!

Paxson was a great role player. But let's not get carried away, BJ was ready to step into the starting role if Paxson left. Paxson got a little too arrogant when he went into the Bulls front office and acted like he was owed a lifetime debt of gratitude because he hit one big shot in 1993. Thank God the Bulls finally moved on from him in the front office and coincidently they are doing much better today!
