I prayed to God that I would love to visit John Osteen's church in Texas Houston. Praise God, I got admitted to Rice University! I will visit Lakewood in August. Thank you Jesus.

I have loved hearing and learning from Pastor John Osteen since I was a child. He always preached the Word of God with power, and with practical applications. His book, This Awakening Generation, was the first book I purchased and read when he visited our church 50 years ago when I was 9. I still love hearing him preach.

Each one (of them), IS AN INDIVIDUAL ‼️ Joel LOVES his daddy and John LOVES his SON. AND they are not CLONES of each other. JOEL LEARNED at the feet of his precious dad. John and Joel have different ways of delivering THE SAME MESSAGE OF GOD. Joel is a more quiet-spoken INDIVIDUAL. John would be terribly HURT to hear the way his son is being criticized. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON; they have the right to BE THEMSELVES. I know it hurts Dodie when her precious son is criticized. YOU….who find it “fulfilling”, to rake Joel over the coals, just look at your own children and KNOW how APPALLED and ANGRY and devastated to hear ANYONE ridicule a child of yours !!!!!!!!! John and Joel are TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Even THE LORD JESUS CHRIST wants us to be individuals. 🙏🏻🕊🌷

This man is certainly full of the Holy Ghost and on fire for God!! I had no idea this is the cloth Joel Osteen was cut from! It goes to show you it’s an individual walk with Christ. I listened to Joel a few times and stopped. He is a motivational speaker and nothing more. What happened to his mother? I pray they get serious with God and let him use them to build his kingdom and tear the devil’s kingdom down! It’s an atrocity what his church has become. Lord have mercy Jesus 😢

It is unfair to compare John and Joel….as it is UNFAIR to compare each of your children with your other child/children. YOU WOULDN’T want to be expected to be like another person!!!! We are EACH INDIVIDUALS!!!!!

I love John's sermons! But I just can't understand why he encouraged Joel to preach. Surely John noticed Joel's lack of spiritual growth. Surely he noticed his son wasn't filled with the Holy Spirit. There had to have been signs that Joel didn't believe in the same things John did. I just don't understand how anyone who's a Spirit-filled, born again Christian could think Joel was a proper replacement for his father. Does Dodi have Mom Goggles on? Why didn't she say anything? I think it's a travesty that Lakewood Church went from its original reputation to what it is now: A New Age, superficial gathering of mostly Sunday Christians.

i LISTENED TO HIM ALOT WHEN growing up and still now....I never listen to Joel. Joel must have not heard even one of his Fathers sermons!! His Father was awesome.

John Osteens preaching style is way different than his son , but Joel's inspirational style of preaching works well for other Christians as well. If a pastors sermons speak to your heart and soul , praise God in the end that's what really matters .

So sad his son didn't carry on this type of teachings.
