Then not till a episode in the amaro / post stabler era did they say he was in the military as a army ranger.. all the yrs before and never mentioned. Rowynne Crowley Ice T actually was a gangster in Compton for awhile. Hated cops so much that the band he was in (which I cant remember the name of atm) made songs about cops being pigs and they talk about how shitty police are. Personally its really ironic to me that someone who hated cops so much that he helped write songs about how awful they are, is now playing a detective with the LAPD in the sex crimes division.

i love imagining john mulaney sitting at home watching law and order special victims unit and thinking about a mildly funny observation about one scene in one episode and thinking "hey thats good material for some standup". really gives me the confidence to do standup about how my grandmother pronounces coupons or about how flanderized kirk was in the new episodes of gilmore girls. nothing is too esoteric.

Ice-T on SVU is like the lead military guy on the Stargate series. He is reacting to the evidence like the watching audience would and thus be relatable. It's funny as hell if you think of the character as a real person but the reaction is a semi-4th wall break to involve the audience a bit more, it's great storytelling like how campfire horror stories are told that use elements of the environment in which the story takes place.
“That way we’ll know where it was” The closeup and the eyes going side to side had me rollin

Rewatching many skits after reading the news. John I hope you come out of rehab a better and a bigger man. We love you

So we’re going back and forth: “You can’t say that word on TV.” “I want to!” “If you put that word on TV, there could be a protest of midgets on this building!” And I said “Promise?”
Ice-t, known for his song "cop killer", now plays a cop in like 25 movies and tv shows
"If you're comparing the badness of two words and you won't even say one of them,*nods head* that's the worse word." this is so true, though.
