This is almost exactly what happened when our foster daughter came to us at age 15 months, bruised and filthy. We adopted her and she’s now a healthy, vibrant, smart and beautiful little girl.

Great reaction. Even after all these years I still can't listen to this one without crying.
90’s and 00’s country was the biggest advocate for child and spousal abuse. Songs riddled with stories like this! Good country like this is so important because it tells stories and stories people need to know!
This song hits me hard as a Police Officer for the last 16 yrs I’ve worked cases just like this....all with little babies like her in the mix.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ❤️
It's that exact place we all GET IT. So emotional.
The first time I heard this song I was driving with then my 2 year old foster son now my son. That was 22 years ago. This song still gives me chills when I hear it.
This song broke me the first time I heard it! What a story and tribute to God!! Love your honest reaction and words of Jesus Christ!!
I'm almost an emotionless person and I cry every time I hear this song
Between this song and Alyssa lies ( by Jason Michael Carroll ) I don't know which pulls at my heartstrings more. Both make me cry. Both truly heart breaking.

I have never click on a video faster in my life. I get sad when I hear this song
Amen! Our Lord IS everywhere! I'm bawling my eyes out so I pray I've made no big typos. This song always makes me cry. So beautiful!

This one and alysa lies always make me cry every time. These songs really pull at the heartstrings.
And when I was five years old I went to heaven I seen my grandma my great grandma my grandpa and my dog that passed away and God told me to tell people that he is coming back one day and when I was up there and I look down the roads for solid gold he could see through them
This is an amazing song. I cry every time.
You'd have to have a heart of stone not to tear up at this one.
I was adopted and raised by my grandparents. My dad once told me that true music will tell you a story that will play a small movie in my mind. Music that is well written does that to me all the time now. No matter how many times I hear an emotional song it just hits me hard. The most recent is Craig Morgan's, "The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost".
Yes, my friend, suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not.
My little boy, 9 now, has been going to church with us for most of his life. So proud of this. Amen and God Bless

The perfect words for this song. Absolutely.
Love this makes me cry in a good way and bird man so glad u r not ashamed to call yourself a Christian and that u and your wife show your daughter the way and also u shoe the world the way by proclaiming Jesus name on your u tube channel as always love from Alabama and as always God Bless u in Jesus Name ❤🙏
Love this,
I'm so glad you reacted to this. The moment I saw this notification, I couldn't click fast enough. When I saw what you were reacting to, I knew it'd get to you. I can't hear this song without tearing up and I think more people need to hear this song. This is my all time favorite John Michael Montgomery song.
She has powerful testimonies. At such a young age.

this one always gets me
I always cry on this song.
I grew up in a religious household. I grew up as a Christian but I am now an eclectic witch. I still believe there is something out there. I love your reactions. I’m also an empath, so I feel all of this as well. Much love.
Love y’all ❤
I miss you a little still hurts the most.
Am I the only person who was thinking oh no no no, wait till the end dude. there’s a twist that you will love. Powerful song.
Damn I love this song. The ending is just perfect
Poignant!
Songs like this are why I love 90s Country music. I’m an atheist but I love this song and it’s message. Every child is born innocent and deserves love, safety, and kindness. Great reaction Birdman!
On a different note by the same artist from the 90s is a song called Sold!(The Grundy County Auction Incident) it's good for a laught
I know this is old and I hate to necro comment but that you actually LISTENTED at the end to what the girl told the Sunday School teacher told me a lot. It's good to see people that pay attention and actually listen to the songs not just go through the motions. Thank you for the amazing content as always.
That last part always gives me chills, God bless Jesus
So sad, but yet so beautiful 🙏❤️
This song could make the meanest man cry like a b****

I highly recommend William Michael Morgan I know who he is
I know this is nearly a year after you posted, but I somehow missed this one. I was so excited when I heard John Michael Montgomery wrote this song- because I knew it. My mom told me the story years before the song came out. She had known or known of the family that adopted that little girl, so when I heard he had written the song I was excited. On the bus going to school in fact when the radio hosts stated that once John Michael Montgomery heard the story it only took him 8 minutes to write the song. I think mom may have left some of the details out as I was probably no older than the girl when she first told me the story, but I recognized it in the song immediately.
You did such a wonderful job on reacting to this video
😢😢

I don't know if it's just me I hope not but whenever I see or think about Jesus on that cross and what he did for us I cry like a child because I can't imagine the pain he went through for us and I'm grateful and thankful and I know there is nothing that I can ever do to repay him

Beautiful Beautiful song! A tear jerker for sure! Parents like this tick me off to no end. They shouldn't even have reproduced in the first place. It's clear they didn't want her but glad it worked out for her in the end! Loved the song! Can't wait for more! 😊

I understand how you feel. Usually, the abusers are themselves victims from another time/place, and we should try to always remember that. That doesn't mean bad people shouldn't be punished when its appropriate, but we should always remember that evil in one came from evil in another. A very good lesson I heard from a preacher who said: Remember ONLY god can create something from nothing, and think about that. Therefore, evil never comes from nothing. Satan does not have the power to create from nothing, only to spread insidiously through hearts and minds. Evil never just appears in a place, a people, or a person. it always, always spreads. It propagates. It begets itself, but it never comes from nothing, never from out of nowhere. Only god creates something from nothing.
I actually just want to thank you for doing everything you're doing and actually John Michael Montgomery is my second cousin and if you ever have the time listen to Tracy Byrd he's my first cousin

I get church from local churches on television, radio, and online because I can’t listen to a preacher who skims money from the church and lies about it. Bless you I love this song. I know I don’t deserve it but I hope God saves me💕💕💕

The only thing I don't like about this song is that it paints me as an alcoholic drug-addict (because apparently, that's all atheists); I am certainly not alcoholic, and I've never done drugs. Still love how this girl found a better life, and some comfort in her faith.
