This man drops off $60,000 worth of instruments to the Chicago school kids and then gives a free concert at the daley center in downtown, who else does that...god bless him for many more years !

Funny how John says 18 year old kids won't be interested in the music of a 67 year old man when this man's music was my inspiration to start performing on stage at age 4. Going on 23 I bought the new album as soon as it was released last month.

Quentin Dugger , I'm sure he was speaking in generalities, but there's a lot of young people that follows his music, He just hasn't taken the time to check it out, I think he's the one not adjusting to these new times ,with facebook, instagram etc...

“Working Man’s Music”..... I’ve worked my whole life with my hands, back, shoulders, legs, and mind as well. I’d never get along with this guy on a personal level, being from opposite ends of the political spectrum. But I’ve always really liked his music. And I listened to the words. I knew what he was saying. But the way he said it somehow always had a very strong appeal to me. He certainly had a way to get me to seriously consider his opinions on things, I guess it’s because he was forthright, direct, and honest. And that bridges a whole lot of ground.

He's said in multiple interviews that he's not easy to get along with. I can feel it. I don't think I would get along with him. It's weird because, even though I feel certain I would clash with him, I can in some important ways related to him. Just like he has to paint or make music every day, I have to write everyday and it is with serious purpose.
