Thanks for watching! I'm a huge Mac fan and was so impressed by John Mayer's cover. The sound came through a little thin on the original recording so I wanted to enhance the quality of the audio with a proper mastering job for y'all to enjoy. Feel free to connect with me on Instagram @TheTylerAugust for more music, audio engineering, and artist branding content. Also, if you're a fan of listening to music on vinyl, I highly recommend Mac's NPR Tiny Desk performance on vinyl which you can find here: amzn.to/459tGku Much love!

I never liked John Mayer whenever I was young probably because he was a pussy magnet and I just couldn't understand it whenever I was like 10 and 11 years old because that's when he was the most popular. And friends super sexy sister that I was in love with growing up was a few years older than me and she was obsessed with John Mayer and that bum me out to. But now that I'm older this dude is an awesome musician and he did such an incredible job with this song. I've always loved the blues and music with guitar as its focal point anyways but it just took me awhile to get over the butthurt that John Mayer just seduces women LOL. The whole show was a tribute to Mac, including statements from family and stuff I believe, so they probably already had cried in the beginning. And you can only cry for so long before your body is emotionally drained and you just can't anymore.
I think its important to show Mayer bringing up the story of Mac being nervous, and John acknowledging how very nervous he truly is, clearly, because he does not want to fail the incredible crowd praising another artists legacy. Mayers done this a million times but has obvious nerves because he knows who hes representing, idk that got to me. RIP Mac
