In The Neighborhood Lyrics:
Take a moment, and make it last now, la la la la la la
Whats the hurry? Not so fast now, la la la la la la
All I am doing, is doing me now, la la la la la la
What a feeling, to be free now, la la la la la la
Ahhhh, mmmmm
Do you remember, when we were younger? la la la la la la
All the heartache and the hunger, la la la la la la
You said you’d wait up, I wouldn’t let you, la la la la la la
I said that someday I’d come back to get you, la la la la la la
Wooooo, I’m back in town
Then I think, I’m here for good
So if you want to really love me, I think you should,
I’ll be stickin’ around in the neighborhood
I found my morning where it was hiding, la la la la la la
I find the quiet so exciting, la la la la la la
I do the puzzle, I read the funnies, la la la la la la
I haven't slept since I left in my twenties, la la la la la la
Wooooo, I’m back in town
Then I think, I’m here for good
So if you want to really love me, I wish you would,
I’ll be stickin’ around in the neighborhood
I’m in the neighborhood
I’m in the neighborhood
Wooahh, and I will stay in put
Might as well just be myself, then
Might as well just be myself, then
Might as well just be myself, then
Might as well just be myself, then
Two trees fallin’ in the woods alone, la la la la la la
Nobody callin on the telephone, la la la la la la
You and me walkin on the riverside, la la la la la la
Telling you all about my rocket ride, la la la la la la
I’m in the neighborhood, oooo
I’m in the neighborhood, baby
I’m in the neighborhood, la la la la la la
La la la, la la la laaa

Sitting in the car listening to Continuum, then opening your mind to something like Born & Raised and getting around to understand the whole discography. It's an exercise in opening your mind to what an artist can be, or do.

Oh, that's the same for me. I discovered John listening to AOL music in 2002. He has created the soundtrack to my life, and there have been 20+ years of growing. I am seeing him for the first time next year in Glasgow. I may get sick from overexcitement.

Same here. Heard “wonderland” in 2002 or so and I was hooked. I remember thinking the lyrics were so *adult*. Then “bigger than my body” and “clarity” the next year. It was a big musical moment for a 13 yr old.

Revisiting his stuff I missed, I'm regretting not making any effort to listen much or to go see him for three next 3: bs, b&r and pv tours... I've come to appreciate these 3 albums so much more now.
