I teach guitar, i've been playing almost forty years, and i've been watching Mr. Mayer play with other famous guitarist. I'm telling you "HE PLAYS LIKE A HEART ATTACK". He is one of the best guitarist out there. He is up there with the best. he can play with any them. Very underrated and hated on and I don't know why. I know he has dated a lot of famous women but that has nothing to with his playing ability.

He's so much more than an amazing musician; he's an incredible story teller and speaker. He knows how to tug at the deepest part of you, he understands. John Mayer is everything an artist should be.

4:54 to 5:15... I don't know it was nostalgic, like the 90's, or just too good to be real... It was mind blowing

I love John Mayer's motivational speaker aspect, especially about love. He's sooo spot on with his advice. Plus, this tune is an epic platform for him to deliver from. I love it. I love him

i love how that upscale riff he does at the mere end serves perfectly as an intro to a soaring-skyhigh-super duper hit song... that douche :P

I rather think that John Mayer is a very underrated guitarist. Just my opinion. And yeah, BB King, Clapton, and Buddy think the same. so yeah.

@rpcurry However, that being said, I think Mayer's writing style is in a class of his own. Understands his voice limitations and works within it to create a wonderful wall of sound.

Well Keith Urban is a pretty good guitarist, but there are a lots of guitarist really better than him ahaha

@rpcurry I can think of 5 guys that are better guitar players than Mayer. Mayer is creative, but not that good. (McCready of Pearl Jam, Jack White of Racconteurs, Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Tom Morello of Audioslave, Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots. And that's just at the top of my head.)
