Ain’t No Sunshine is one of John Mayer’s best and signature covers. He’s mastered it and absolutely owns this tune. I love it. Love him

The song is in the key of G I believe. He is just hitting the corresponding note one octave up.

yeah, one octave up on the 355333 shape, G on the E string with the thumb. The rest just goes on a g pentatonic minor scale.

When you folks realize the mark of a true musician is doing things different every single time. Too fast would mean the rest not being in the pocket which isn’t the case they were fuckin dialed
