RIP John Mayall. Thanks for every song, every chord, every blues!
John turned professional after leaving te Army aged 30. He has died at the age of 90 giving him a 60 year successful 'Track Record' . Awesome in more ways than one! R.I.P. jOHN.
Buddy Whittington again proving the biggest names ain't always the best guitar players. 😄😄👍👍

Rest in musical peace..Mr. Mayhall. It s a sin you didn't get into the rock and roll hall of fame sooner. Anyway, they don't matter. What matters is the wealth of fabulous music you left us with. Condolences to your family and friends 🙏.
He's been part of my life for decades and decades. I think this is one of the most inspirational performances I've ever seen. And now he sits with the other immortals. Love to his family and friends, RIP.

I saw John Mayall along with Mick Taylor, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie in a bar in Green Bay, Wisconsin in the mid 70’s. They were one of the best bands I’ve ever seen and Mick is a true virtuoso who was playing Albert King lick for lick. He was amazing!
Who else could tie up such a stunning line up of talent to produce such a stupendous example of English influenced blues. Take a bow Mr Mayall OBE We all owe you so much.

Sally Barker did it on the TV show, The Voice I think. I first heard it on some radio bout 10 years ago and I liked it so much but when I started searching it took me days to finally find it. Of course you can find his songs to. He had many who would become icons. Plant Jagger etc. Etc. I had thought myself, the same, that it was as this conversation goes, thinking May all, until I found that Elexis came before. Also you will see a few different spellings of his first and last but I'm sure this is the most used. Hope you find it cause she sang it beautifully..

JOHN MAYALL gehört auch meinen absoluten Lieblingsmusikern--- und ich sammle seine Musik...
A friend lent me his copy of "Crusade" when I was 16 and this song in particular and the rest of the music I heard on that album inspired my love of Blues from that moment forward. Years later the same friend and I saw this exact line-up play this same song at the band's gig in High Wycombe. My friend and I just looked at each other in joy and disbelief. Thank you John for everything. You will be sorely missed.RIP.
I had some much older friends who used to hand-me-down LPs, clothes and whatever was left laying around their house. The Turning Point was one of the first in the early 70s. It was one of the albums that changed my taste in music forever. Ditched The Beatles White Album forever! I no longer have a record player but still have the record.🥰🦘🎷🎶
