This is why I’ve always been uncomfortable with grouping Latin/Hispanics with the black diaspora. I cringe when I hear people on platforms say black and brown, or black and Hispanic. No we’re separate. Stop grouping them with us. Nothing against them but we have our own fight, and usually they’re silent when it’s time to speak up for us.

Many Latin Americans have native blood. I’m 50% Native American. We are 20% or 63 million right now. We'll be approximately 30% in 2060 or more than 100 million Spanish speakers. We have our own culture (music, books, soap operas, arts, technology, TV stations, radio stations, Newspspers, etc…). You know what...we spend so much of our time hating on ourselves and others because they say and do things exclusively for their communities. We complain about our own people for trying to climb that rusty ladder of success and when someone from another culture is given a script to further their own with words not giving us credit for things we have done, but others surely have as well, again some of us get ourselves in a stinking fit. We have to start thinking more about ourselves positively and stop worrying about what others don't say in our favor. The latin people know the truth as much as we do. Getting upset with them all because of what a few fools of them say should not be cause for us to lose our focus. We have enemies everywhere and the sooner and better we tighten up our own base the better. Let's talk more about our accomplishments and stop wasting our precious time worrying about them. They stay tight. We cannot even come together for ourselves to help ourselves.

The fact that we stay divided after all these years and after all we have been through, which everyone but us profits off of, is our shame not theirs.
