Eddie did try to take Conor down the same way he did Pettis, by pushing him into the fence and looking to lock his hands, only he couldn't because Conors takedown defence was rock solid. Eddie didn't shoot in open space much because he just couldn't get past Conors punches. He got countered and hurt more or less every time he threw something. It was a clinic. Eddie isn't a bad dude either but you should be careful what you ask for at this level. He paid dearly for asking for this fight.

In most situations, the body is the better choice of targets. Right down to the risk of breaking your hand, which is much less striking the body. (Hip bones still do the trick, but less likely to hit that than a forehead striking to the face) and everyone needs air to fight, beat that out of a person, game over, no continues.

What i'm saying is, the best coach/trainer in the world could coach the worst fighter in the world.. and because he's training the worst fighter in the world doesn't make him any worse of a coach, same goes with the best fighters in the world

Survivor M They kinda do. Conor has fought ALOT better caliber competition of champions and contenders even before ufc and fought many top guys and contenders after his first however many fights ..Khabib.....has fought quite a few lower level guys . A good chunk hadn't even won ONE fight. He fought rda 3 years ago and johnson but johnson aint a contender and rda wasn't on the level he arose to later. People try and say tibau and horcher were worth bragging on him beating which tells me they're reaching. Khabib may be the greatest BUT his record is NOT against the caliber of competition conor faced. Watch MMA quick hits video breaking down the records of his opponent's its NOT good bro bewarned n

Coach Kavanagh is one of the most humble and down to earth men on this planet considering what he has achieved in the last few years. My advice to anybody here who is enjoying this video or has already watched it is this. Buy his new (and first) book. Win or Learn is the book's name. I'm Irish myself so may come across as biased but trust me, this man is a legend. He has taken the time to personally reply to me through private message about a query I had regarding me taking up MMA. This was about 4 days before the historic fight in MSG. I have nothing but love for this man.

Tired of the uneducated comments using the Nate fights to gauge how Conor would fair against Khabib, Tony, or anyone else for that manner. I've seen no one, trolls or analyst, explain the scientific fact that it takes a significant amount of time for the body to adjust and preform efficiently when competing at 145 then trying to do all the same movements while carrying much more weight. Nate not only uses his reach excellently he's hard to hit. Even harder to hit clean, unlike Tony, Khabib, and I'll say it, even Woodley. I'm NOT saying none of them could beat Conor. Just saying the Nate fights aren't the blueprint.

  • @MurdaMan67

Agreed 100% Conor's movement and distance control makes it extremely difficult to find shots. It freezes or throws off everyone, while leaving openings for Conor. He's also very strong at Lw. Honestly, I feel like Khabib and Tony are way to easily hit, and just like I predict they'd be shocked by Conor's Td defense, I know for a fact Conor shocks them both with next level power, precision, and timing they never experienced.

With a full training camp and more time etc mendes could have possibly taken that fight if he kept doing what he was doing and didnt gas out.. Conor has looked a LOT better defending takedowns as of late but maybe thats cos he hasnt faced as good a wrestler as mendes since then, khabib will answer that question. conor should fight floyd next anyway.

John Kavanagh says it right here in this video, it takes 4 months to a year to learn something new and to be able to do it automatically when you need to. Conor had little to no experience with wrestlers when he fought Chad. But he has internalised his takedown defence now and doesn't need to think about it. And yes, a year and a half is a hell of a long time in mma.

Because the two way title holder has more appeal because the belts are a physical sight to the eyes to represent such an. Accomplishment. But by not ever having to defend the belt , continue to kill that division and had no more challenges then to move up and get the other belt would be more solidified as a true two way champion. People are gonna look past this in a way because he truly to did get to skip a short line of real contenders. Thats the sad part

Daniel Dalton No idea how you cannot see that John Kavanagh obviously just speaks the truth - the simplest thing of all. It's just so obvious that he tells it like it is. Can you really not see that? Amazing how many people (not just you) think something crafty is going on when nothing is happening at all. He's just giving his honest opinion. If he thought there was a fighter who could challenge Conor, he'd say so.

I thought kavanagh's speech at the end of round 3 against Nate won conor the fight. he calmed him down got rid of all of his doubts and told him his defence was great. conor went on to win the 4th, but I believe without that talk Nate would've won the fight with no 5th round

Now McGregor has really cleared all doubts about his skill and power and I really don t see Khabib or Ferguson being the same after 1 or 2 left hands. In 155 only Nate can bring heart and jaw tough enough to make fight interesting against McGregor s unique skill. Imagine how tough Nate is if Eddie was done after 2 left hands... wonder if he still could last 5 rounds one last fight against the Champ... 💯👊💯💪

Mike Tyson had a reach and height disadvantage in every pro fight he fought. There are levels to things and size just determines the techniques that you need to implement to compete. This movement that Frankie and Eddie have only really works on amateurs which is pretty much 95% of MMA fighters. Conor VS Wonderboy would be an interesting fight and would prove how good Conor's stand up is against someone who isn't an amateur.

Your 100 percent correct. Conor Is a 5'9 guy and 145-155 pounds is his optimum efficient fighting capacity. That's why they have weight divisions in the first place. That's why it's so so difficult to win multiple belts in the first place. Nobody can just bounce around from 145-170 (3 divisions) whenever they feel like it. Yes, not even the great McGregor.

I wouldnt be surprised to see them start an LGBQT division, and give Conor an equity interest in the company ONLY if he does commercials for increased immigration into europe and the USA, as well as commercials for LGBQT sports. DOnt be naive people, its the same old game of cultural subversion with the jewboys.
