Teared his ACL twice in 18 months the guy is just lucky to be back on a board and how long before it snap for good ? im not hating but i hope he has proper medical advice !

unreal. every time John does a turn or carve it looks like it just commands respect. I cannot wait until this man is back out there.

Love how john includes more than just himself in these videos. Even his competitors.

it's great you have such skilled cinematography to capture your surfing and all the surrounding beauty. i agree with others that the water sounds really add a lot. you surfing big margaret river makes for the best comp of the year, every year. nobody out there approaches your skill. this was so good to see after missing you on tour.

Whilst he is certainly the man currently and nothing but respect for the kid from me --- Margs has a very long history my friend, with a few other notable greats who have been associated with it and the pro comp ,that you may of heard of ... just run down the list of ex (multiple) world champ winners and game changers/innovators in the sport and you'll find a few .. not to mention the many locals who have left their mark (and still are) internationally ..

Really? The brazzo boys are farken nuts... launching giant airs all over the place. Medina did a 6 foot air on a 2 foot wave. And their barrel game is first rate, too.

@@wilsargisson3626 It's all the same stuff. "Oh I need a score! Here's a full rotation." Judges reward one wave manoeuvres far too highly and often. Medina is a douchebag and Filipe has no style. They also are very predictable. I will give credit where it's due. Italo. He is amazing and unpredictable. I would love to see him win this year and next year be a battle between him and John John. I think that would be amazing.

Your artistic vision and production of these videos is as good as anything I've watched. Assuming it is you that does most of the heavy lifting with these films..? you really have a gift outside of the great surfing you do. During this final WSL footage messed up the best waves you caught to to win, their footage was fragmented or the camera simply missed the waves, always annoyed me that.
