John Gosden is so eloquent I cannot listen to him enough, he's got that lovely turn of phrase. Pure class.

I could listen to this man all day... A true gentleman & a real genius!

I will be at Longchamp tomorrow with my wife and our party to cheer her on, but no matter what the result she has already earned the word "great".

If John Gosden was prime minister, England would be in shipshape condition. Good to his staff, very humble and pleasant to everyone. When Enable retires, may 10 better ones take her place.

A lot of American trainers should learn a thing or two from John Gosden. So many Americans have a gutter-mouth, and as you put it perfectly, John Gosden is a class act.

@@conor7187 This is a very belated response from me, but Prince Khalid has a magical touch and incredible insights when it comes to horses. Yes, we are very spoiled with his amazing horses, and I hope it continues for many years to come. Can't wait till 2020!

Charlie would have told Gosden about the day he saw Phar Lap win the Agua Caliente in the early 30s. Charlie rated the horse one of the best he had ever seen: "I never saw Man O' War but he'd have to be a mighty horse to have been better than Phar Lap."

It's probably just Gosden setting ridiculous standards but both favourites Litigous and Travel on have ran abysmally this week. I hope there's not a bug in the yard.

Correct me if I’m wrong but more fancied Gosden/Dettori runners beaten today at Newmarket. I suspect there is a problem.

I don’t think enable will win the arc it’s sad but you have to bet with your head not your heart So lay enable on Betfair it’s going to be easy money

John O'brien what do you think beats her? I’m struggling to see anything other than the draw potentially. Japan beat CO based on a poor ride by Doyle (in my opinion) and CO was exhausted from the Enable battles weeks before. Magical and lower all have absolute chunks to find at the weights given she’s either beaten them before or are massively behind in weights. That leaves Sottsass or Ghaiyyath. Sottsass ran once and Longchamp and got beat easily (so many jockeys say it’s a horse for courses kind of track). I personally don’t rate French horses as much because when we send our over it messes their style of riding up. That leaves Ghaiyyath. I like that EW. Likes the track, but was well beaten by Waldgeist who has no chance in my eyes. Won’t get an easy lead like the romping recently, so I just see that as the horse Enable will stalk into the straight and skip past.

I totally agree. Horses are not machines but given a decent draw and ground there is nothing in this field to beat her.

Terry Eggett think she’s had an easy season really. 5/6 1/2 weeks off between York which was almost a stroll and the Arc is ideal for her as well. She’s been given every chance and I think she’ll take the world of beating and more
