Men, God did not create us to be nice boys. He created us to live a life of passion, freedom, and adventure. To be dangerous men living in a really big story.
God designed men to be powerful. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: to be a hero, a warrior, to love beauty, to live a life of adventure.
We invite you to watch this full teaching by John Eldredge from our first ever BraveCo Men's Conference held at Bethel Church, in Redding California. In this teaching, John Eldredge takes us on a journey of discovering who God created us to be.

ABOUT BRAVECO
We live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood. At BraveCo, we are on a mission to heal the narrative of masculinity across a generation; fighting the good fight together because every man should feel confident and capable of facing his pain, loving deeply, and leading a life that impacts the world around him.

So lucky to have been in the room for this. Praise God!!
This was powerful! Thanks for making it available.
Thanks!
Our men's Saturday Breakfast at our church, we had a series of a video and class participation on Becoming a King by Morgan Snyder. You, John Eldrege, is a replica of Morgan having the same voice and the teaching methods, used in his series. That is what stands out to me, and it is how you are presenting your series. That is why I liked your presentation.✝

Even better … there are men’s retreats that you can get fed this for three days/nights … best getaway that any man can experience. (eg, True North OKC Base Camp)
Wish I could have been there

We have another conference this year. It takes place in Redding, California June 21st-23rd
What does one do with Genesis 5:3 when the son born was not born in the image of God, but in the image of Adam which is now marred -- broken -- imperfect ? If the children now born to Adam ( the human race ) are now in Adam's image -- disobedient to God -- how can we continue to say in the image of God ? Since noticing this verse recently (for the first time, in June of 2022, even though I have read Genesis many times), I am not able to reconcile the teaching (by whoever) that we are made in the image of God. When Adam and Eve were made that way they were without sin. But then, as we know from their choice, that all changed. Can anyone reconcile this dilemma for me. Not with your opinion, but by God's Holy Spirit teaching you ?

Very keen observation. My Bible says, image and likness refers to being created with the image and likeness of your parents.

Dear friend, I have also struggled with this verse. What struck me is that when God creates man in His image, His instruction is for the man and the woman 'to be fruitful and multiply.' Gen 1:28. So man is created in God's image but the command is then to multiply that image in creation. So God's image does not dissipate when Adam procreates, Adam is fulfilling God's command! But post-fall, what then happens is that this image is marred, and while people to bear God's image, they also bear man's frailty, weakness and propensity to sin. I don't think Adam's sin obliterates the image of God in his descendants. What is meant to be taken away from that verse is that all that follow him will bear the same fallibility that Adam had. This helps makes sense of the scripture '...For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh,.." Romans 8:3-4. There is more to be said, but I hope this helps a bit.

But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; James 3:8-9 The Bible maintains the likeness of God is still present.
In the middle of his prayer, an add break...
I like John Eldredge and his books. Such a shame this talk is at a very questionable business empire that is bethel!
