BraveCo

BraveCo

BraveCo’s goal is disciple men so they can be the best versions of themselves. Through discipleship we believe we can make healthy families, healthy churches, and healthy communities.

BraveCo’s passion is to fill homes with humble men whose hearts have been captured by God and who have become covenant men-effective fathers, loving husbands, wholehearted sons.

We are on a mission to heal the narrative of masculinity across a generation; fighting the good fight together because every man should feel confident and capable of facing his pain, loving deeply, and leading a life that impacts the world around him.

The best way to help your man? Let him be alone. And be there when he's had enough quiet. Dont be the person to tell him When he gets to have quiet, or When he gets to have company. Men need action to move forward. Not communication. That communication cones when we Are acting. And its in the form of leadership. Answer our questions as we ask them. Not how you Feel like answering them. Not what you Want his question to mean, Tell him the answer to his question. As soon as you start doing that, you'll be astonished how little we ask of you. And how Massive it is to us.

True, but sanctification- growing in Christlikeness- is an active process for both God and man. We can establish a moratorium on maturity, or being finished men by being passive. Eldredge is on to something here, especially for the majority of men whose fathers did a lame job in delighting in them when they were boys.

Thank you for sharing this. I never received ANYTHING like this in my Christian upbringing. Therefore, this resonated greatly with me. I need God's healing in each of the stages I've been through so far. I know I'm not the odd one out. I hope that as God heals me, that then I can help other men.

The complete BraveCo crew and volunteers created an environment that allowed men to be vulnerable and find real healing from the Master Healer. Such an amazing event!

@@BraveCo I'd definitely say Steve Weatheford. This, of course, is not to discount any of the other speakers. Each speaker clearly brought their own message but _for me_ Weatherford's account spoke deeply for me. He came to the table with an _elite_ pedigree in the world's eyes - professional-grade athleticism, money, women, etc. But his candidness in addressing self-doubts, father wounds, environmental influences, character weaknesses and the deeply personal arena of sexuality and such struggles/expressions. Again, this is not to take away anything from what Banning and Greg brought but Steve provides not only the wonderful redemptive story of God's grace BUT ALSO the universal experience of _woundedness_ ALL of us men have irrespective of our backgrounds. Steve has not only been an inspiration but also a catalyst in my walk where I've always struggled with just reading God's word. But God used him to assist me in showing up for myself , reading God's word _so that_ I would hear the word _so that_ I would grow in my faith.

My single greatest prayer was also my greatest moment of _authentic_ honest self-honesty . . . my prayer was simply "I'm not trying to f*&$ up my life . . . but I am!!" In that moment I heard for the first time the voice of tender, strong, comforting and non-condemning voice that simply said "I know . . .". That moment was the gateway to the heart of the Father and beloved sonship. It started with _honest_ self-honesty.

I love how God will use great stories like Todd's life to bring those of us who feel they are getting by in life and don't feel like they "need" God to draw us in. Not everyone has the strength to change their life and follow Christ like Todd did, but I believe through his ministry he is changing the course of many of the naysayers and complacent folks out there. I'm just starting to follow Todd and wondering if he travels to other states for his ministry?

We all as souls choose the basic path of this life including our family, and race and where we are born. It’s all about growth. We may choose a difficult life so as to learn from those challenges. But it’s been proven we do in fact choose the circumstances of our life before we are born, we simply forget upon birth, then remember once again at the end of our lives.

Not true for everybody my wife and I met at church when we were both 16 and dated for three years and then got married. We have now been married 44 years in October of this year and still madly in love with each other. I know her whole story I always haveand she knows and yes, it is important like you said because then you know what it is that makes them who they are and you who you are and who you are as a couple!
