Great video. My x595 had a fully blocked fuel filter, cleaned out and replaced. Thanks for the tip also on priming the pump. 😊

Thanks for your help! The shutoff gas lever for the x595 has a phillips set screw on top that i had to loosed before the lever would turn.

The TM does not say the screw needs to be loosened, but I always do.

Thank you so much for you great videos and explanation. I live in the U.K. and we do not have many professional service centres for John Deere and therefore I have to do as much myself as possible. I have the X595 absolutely love it. Just hope to keep it alive for as long as possible. Your expertise and experience are invaluable. Thank you again. Mark Fisher

That seems to be a common problem. Both of my X595's were that way.

I have been worrking on a 6X4 diesel gator that had the same problem. Changed to fuel pump no change. SO yesterday I pulled out the pickup tube in the fuel tank. It was FULL of algae. The Gator had sat for a long time at a dealership. So I pumped out the tank and got quite a bit of the black crude out. Removing the tank would require removing the cab which is a LOT of work. Algae is caused by water in the fuel.

How do i know if the fuel pump is working?
