Hi Ben, on select series of John Deere lawn mowers this is all you have to do to change the oil in your tractor! Some have an Easy change system and others will have the normal way to drain your oil. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any more help!

Yesterday I went to change my oil (30 second oil change) for the first time. WARNING-- This should warrant criminal prosecution! It took myself, and my BIG robust, strong neighbor, over an hour, with 2 calls into John Deere and 3 different service technicians saying "Yeah...WE HATE THE THING!" They had NO suggestions other than to say, "They are a PAIN!" They had NO suggestions after we told them all that we did. If we had one more pair of hands, it may have only taken 30 MINUTES. NOTE--I watched 3 videos to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Shame on you John Deere!

Some engineering genius needs to go back to school. Those units hold 1.5 qrts of oil. You just replaced about a 1/2 of qrt
