Not the wholy true: I think that it was in a similar vein - why? Don't make Francis Rossi responsible for what was going on since the 80's .. Sad.. but true: Radical changes in the society ..combined with the commercial interests of music companies made Francis Rossi to a marionette of them .. Such a shame - but that's the wholy true about this ruin !!!

@@stefanbarnert2478 .In A way you have a point. but in the same time. ,take black sabbath. and many other heavy bands. of the time. . they could of still been heavy . Rossi himself said he was getting into country more. .he was the reason Lancaster gone. and also Coghlan. Parfitt was easy going. but didnt like that Rossi seems to be the number one. of Quo. back in the 70s Rossi was my Hero. my fav member of the band. but he was the one that wanted to move on from what they was doing. Remember Quo had a Big FOllowing before rocking all over the world. then they brought in Pip WIlliams and the ranchyness of the band diminished. He should of formed another band. and drop the name Status quo . when half of the band had gone. to me status quo are from 67 to 76. after that the albums got less and less interesting for me.

Quo would be a third class cover band, playing old R & R songs, without Rossi. Quo would be long forgotten without Rossi. Why did all the other bands and LP from Status Quo members didn`t sell?! Partners in Crime was a great band, with Noel McCalla on vocals, but did it sell? No!

@@SuperKillerkaninchen how we'll did Francis Rossi's solo stuff sell. The fact is people love Quo and if you put that name on something people will like it, as long as fgsy like what is on the album. I like Quo now and I like Quo of the past. Doesn't mean I like everything Quo has done over the years.

Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi were interviewed a few years ago on ITV, when Francis was talking to the presenters, Rick sat there listening and clearly seemed interested, when they turned to Rick, Francis turned his head away, it seemed he didn't want to be there, when the interview was over, Francis walked away and demanded to be in a seperate dressing room away from Rick.

it would have not worked. Rossi is the master of melody, his guitar playing is the tune of the songs and his voice has clarity. Rossi also has the stagecraft and the ability to banter with the audience. That being said: Coughlan/Parfitt/Lancaster are the ENGINE room of the original Quo

Delta Force 2: Good idea and after watching the Frantic Four Reunion gigs i 2013/14 I'd have been happy for someone else to have taken over the Rossi spot. He just wasn't interested. Sloppy playing, no energy, mistakes on every song. It was a shambles but not, as he stated, because of Lancaster & Coughlan.

Parfitt or Lancaster wrote and/or sang almost all of the great Quo rock songs, Lancaster was the best singer, and Parfitt gave Quo their drive. Rossi's job was the easiest in the band - any adequate lead guitarist would have sounded great with those three behind him.

@@GeeCeeWU Thank you. He really is one of the most considerate and funny people ive ever known. I particularly love his dry sense of humour. Have read his book, seen him live quite a few times, you can just see from the current line up how happy everyone is. They are a real band now, all working together. Of course i admit i tend to go for the older stuff a lot musically but theres only so long you can have rotten eggs in your fridge before they start making everything stink. Francis has always been the glue to hold everything and everyone together, Lancaster has always suffered from little man syndrome. A real liability plus he wasnt even a good baseplayer. Francis had no say in him packing it in, Lancaster was insanely jealous of Francis getting all (well deserved) credit. Francis even had to placate him by giving him credit for songs he wasnt even involved in. During the Frantic Four reunion Lancaster behaved like the spoilt angry child he always was and upset the band and staff left, right and centre. And as for John Coghlan, he was an alcoholic, these people make their own beds.
