What have the left got to do with it? If anyone is from the left it's probably JC. Some of the best comedies have been written by lefties and performed by lefties. The woke brigade might be shocked by Alf Garnett and his racist tirades, but the joke was on Alf, he was the butt of the jokes and was played by a leftie, the late great Warren Mitchell. The dual Alf Garnett series of 'Till Death Us Do Part' and 'In Sickness and in Health' was written by Johnny Speight, a leftie also. Sacha Baron-Cohen is another great writer/performer who takes the piss out of Trump and his followers, I would say he is more likely to be from the left than the right.

Throughout my life, I've always tried to find away to laugh at the misfortunes in my life. If I didn't, I'd have a miserable life. That does not sound fun.

Finally I get to stay respectful of someone I have admired since I was young a man willing to stand up for our rights to have an opinion and not be a brown shirt.
