John Chapter 19 | The Ultimate Sacrifice - IT IS FINISHED!

💙 I am trying something new for the begining of the new year!
They say it takes 21 Days to make a habit. Bad or good. So I’m replacing a bad habit of scrolling on my phone with a good one of reading through the Book of John in 21 Days.
I hope you will join me!

I also agree that preachers and teachers do not want to talk about sin. I feel sometimes they don't want to offend because that won't fill the pews. So many people in our culture today believe they are saved because they say they "know" Jesus but are comfortable living in habitual sin with no repentance. If God was ok with us living in our sin then why would he have his Son go through this. Preachers need to step up and let people know the path they are on is to an eternal punishment. Thank you Jesus, your sacrifice is our greatest blessing !!!!

Yes! 💯 It’s sad 😢 We should be more concerned with filling heaven than filling pews. I was studying for our Acts series today and a preacher said something in one of the sermons I was listening to. “Paul didn’t measure his life by physical comfort. He measured his life by spiritual calling.” I thought that was so right on. Because we live in this world it’s so easy to measure our lives by the world’s standards. I know this first hand so I’m holding up a mirror here. When I ran my business, it took a lot of money to keep the doors open. My livelihood depended on it. It was easy to slip in to people pleasing to pay the bills. I’m sure some of these pastors are feeling that pressure to keep the doors open. We need to be on our knees for our pastors. Thank you so much for your comment Teri! and for hanging out with me today! Shalom! -Christa

You are right Christa. Churches are afraid to offend by mentioning sin . When I was a teen this was not the case. Im 44 now. I like Ray Comfort’s approach. People need to see they are sick to want the cure.
