Coach Cal is a great recruiter, an awesome coach but an even BETTER human!! Arkansas is LUCKY to have him just like we were for 15 years at UK!! I will still be a “Bleed Blue” UK fan…but I’m not gonna lie….ill also be watching, cheering for and following Arkansas Basketball now….because of him!

UK pulled a lot of strings to NOT have to play Arkansas twice a year. Begged the SEC to replace them with Vanderbilt.

I’ve disliked this man for over 30 years…because he was the enemy, BUT, he’s ours now and he’s really a damn good man. GodBless Coach Cal

I really believe the Ky fans made a mistake running this man off, I get it about winning championships, but the expectations considering how the game has changed, and how teams are better now, is just unrealistic to expect that, it was a mistake, this man had a good record at Ky considering today’s basketball landscape,I believe this man should of retired at Ky, I believe he wanted to, but this is not the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s when Ky was usually the team to beat, that time is gone, Pope seems like a nice guy and a decent coach, I just don’t believe he’s the right coach at this time and I believe that will come out soon enough, but lastly, I believe this whole scenario was and is a mistake.
