I heard this song playing at the grocery store and a smile came over my face and I started singing along. Then I heard someone singing it on the next isle over and she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Here we are almost 5 years later planning or wedding. We wake up every day to John Butler playing on her alarm.

"Spring To Come" Lost my love, lost my light I can't find them anymore If there's something I could give I would have given it before now...because... I came back a little broken Things don't fit anymore And I wait for spring to come But how long, tell me how long 'Cause I wither at my post I'm walking like a ghost, alone How long tell me how long, how long Somewhere out there on the horizon Maybe there's a glimmer of hope Maybe it's just a mirage 'Cause you never know And maybe things have changed Storm clouds pass take their rains And I wait for spring to come But how long, tell me how long 'Cause I wither at my post I'm walking like a ghost, alone How long tell me how long, how long Out of the darkness, only light can come After a lonely long night comes the sun [x4]

2020? This should be mandatory everyday listening. A trio of Soul touchers. True musicians music transmitted to the masses encapsulating the messages of, " you're not alone in life". All conveyed through their emotional written word and musical composition. If you find these guys consider yourself blessed. Thanks John, Byron and Grant. . Come back to California soon.

Respect to this great band, I actually feel bad for getting to know you guys today, I lost so many good days of music. It kills myself to know that bands like yours break their asses of making beatiful music, and only a few lucky ones get to listen to you, while all of us have to stand Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, One Direction, etc. everyday in our radios

At least there is that good aspect of KZread. In the 60's 70's 80's & 90's You would just NEVER hear good 'underground' music unless you just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

He left the America's to pursue his dreams of making magical music in the land of AU=OZ. WE pronounce it OZ and our national colors are green and gold(Emerald+Yellow). I think that the problem with plastic pop is that they are more CONcerned with THE PRODUCED PERFORMANCE and not with the music, This band has never had a backing TAPE play at any live event they performed at. You should see the LIVE at CROSSROADS performance IT IS AWESOME.There is some good music produced in America but the POP FACTORY is trying to take over. Another OZZIE band you should check out is #Spiderbait they sing a song called #GlokkenPop(=TO hit pop percussively). The lines in the song SINGING IS EASY IF YOU CAN REMEMBER A TUNE, and THINK OF THE CASH YOU CAN MAKE WHEN THEY ALL SING ALONG describes modern pop perfectly. They are almost always VOICED BY COMPUTER EFFECTS, shit even I could sound good with those effects #BabyGirl album by #CharliXCX is so full of computerEYESaching that it sounds like the dolphins and whales are the back up singers. The only new songs of that genre that I like is #Beyonce new album. She is baring her HEARTsoul on that album. I think that if you do not perform live at a concert then you are a fraud. My sister paid $180 to take her daughter to see #KatyPerry, she was disgusted that she did not sing live, My sister and I have seen AC/DC, JIMMY BARNES, GOOD CHARLOTTE and other bands live AND have never listened to a tape at those concerts. Sorry for all the words but PLASTIC POP PISSES ME OFF with its fakeness. Rock and Metal LAST FOREVER, Rap truth is an alltime thing(WE all rap with each other), but pop goes BANG and it is over. Keep listening to these genres and you will never go wrong

This song reminds me of how I felt after coming back to the states from Iraq soo much.I believe every soldier who has seen combat and listens to this can relate to this song on such a level that is beyond words. The language of experience has no verbal equal. I cant even imagine what inspired these lyrics, but this is such a emotional story within this song. i always get choked up and think about my dead friends when he says "I came back a little broken" and "I wither at my post I'm walking like a ghost"

So I just gotta say... Well, 1- WHERE THE GRAMMYS AT????? I mean seriously... John Butler is a straight genius song writer not to mention performer/overall musician who I've been following since the beginning with loyalty... So, bonnaroo 07 was the first and only time in my life that I was dead sober yet literally felt like I was so high like vibrationally from the music... John Butler Trio played at like 2 in the afternoon and it was unbelievable ... Anywho I'm rambling now I've been lucky enough to catch them live a number of times and I'm a massive fan I am also a musician so coming from it from that perspective as well... Huge fan amazing live show always professional and soulful all around amazing feel wise all that...K I'll stop now... Thank you J.B.T. Your songs have had and still have a massive impact/influence on my life it's actually pretty nuts really... Anyway, oh and the new line up is on point man soooo fucking good!!! Never stop writing please
