I was surprised there were no comments here since it is so well done. His sermon really lets people know the seriousness of doing things in church but not really believing and how these may end up in Hell for not really believing. Jesus wanted us to know that we stay connected to Him no matter where we are. Jesus is the main resource that we have in this life instead of looking for it everywhere but Him. Relying and obeying only on Christ in dependence on Him. Thank you for teaching me so much!

You don't need to do anything to remain in His love.He loves you regardless of what you do or don't do.The Holy Spirit will cause you to want to do whatever God wants you to do simply because you'll want to.Its a really cool experience!

@@tammyhicks8699 Thanks for the response. Yes, his love is unconditional. But what about living in this love/remaining in it? Didn't this sermon and John 15:10 clearly say that we remain in it by obedience?

I had just finished reading the book of John and had started in the book of Isaiah. I got to Isaiah 4 tilted, The Branch of the LORD. The word branch and it’s use made think of John 15. I looked up sermons explaining this and God chose this one for me…literally. I was in the other room and this sermon started playing. I took it as, “this must be what God wants me see.” This was such an awesome interpretation of the text. The Holy Spirit was revealing the exact words you spoke in my Spirit so I know we serve the same amazing God. To God be the glory for using you to bring a dynamic interpretation and thank you for tending the flock well. God has blessed you and now I too am blessed.

Grade A preaching. Obviously Calvinism takes its toll, but a small price to pay to listen to such great preaching.

GOOD Talk till 24:00 in ...a big contradiction ,, the branch is in him (the vine) but not really according to the speaker hmmmm I thought he was calvinist ... but he says man is to first abide in Him and then God in him. Man initiates to abide in God and then God in him. which is what the scriptures say.

He is a calvinist. The point is Scripture says things that seem to “contradict” but they dont. Scripture isnt always simplistic and speaking on the same level. Sometimes its from the full reality of how God sees it and other times Scripture speaks from the partial human perspective that is more aid to practically help us out. For example Scripture says draw near to me and I will draw near to you. Jesus said no one comes to me unless the Father draws him to me. No one comes to Hod unless God draws him yet we dont experience the nearness of God practically until we have drawn to him. That is a real fair question tho. There are other things like that all up and down the Bible

no one can be in Christ and be dead. Jesus said in Jn 15 that to Know God and Jesus Christ IS eternal life. If your interpretation ids correct, can yo show me a verse,oth3r than this, that shows that one can be in Christ and be unsaved?

He’s comparing the unregenerate natural man doing religious works but not a possessor of the Holy Spirit and thus eternal life and those who are regenerated, made alive in Christ, and true possessors of eternal life because they are indeed born again. Compare religious Nicodemus to a born again child of God who is a new creation in Christ Jesus. To inherit eternal life you must be born again. The true born again child of God will grow in the likeness of Christ. We must test ourselves to see if we are truly in the faith, where is the evidence? If the root is in Christ the fruit will be manifest, and even more so as the true gardener does His work to prune the believer. All glory to God!
